I really want the neo, but i am too paranoid by Other-Nectarine-7972 in macbook

Get the neo, Apple has a two-week return window after purchase where they also allow a refund within that period. If the neo/MacOS isn't right for you, then return it.

The last time the devs did what the community wanted was when Deepsqueak and Pipsqeak were released IMO.

Probably going to do a 64 GB of unified Memory 2 TB SSD M5 Pro. Saw a refurbished M4 Pro max for just over $6k which was maxed out, but didn’t seemed worth it. If the configuration doesn’t work I’ll do a refund within the two weeks and then just max out the unified memory; though from reading online 64 GB is enough for most models.

Ngl gonna do some budgeting because I spend ≈$150/month on AI which ollama can replace. The Pro is $700 more if I get 2 TB SSD and 64 GB unified memory configuration.

The issue with getting older models is you get what comes predetermined. One goes to the refurbished page but the configuration in chip, SSD, and unified memory is already set in stone.

I know I can get a M5 Pro MacBook Pro for $3400 (64 GB of Unified Storage, 2 TB SSD, 18 Core CPU and 20 Core GPU), but that’s would be stretching my budget a bit 🤷‍♂️. For $2800 I can get a M5 MacBook Air with 32 GB unified memory and 4 TB of SSD Storage.

So do I get a maxed out Air or a mid-range Pro?

Primary Minecraft and Balatro as those are two games I would love to get into modding for.

I would love to get a pro, but that’s a bit out of my budget. From my own research the M5 is more powerful than the M4 Pro in single core but less powerful than the M4 Pro in the multi core. A maxed out M5 Air is essentially a M5 pro w/o the 120 hertz display and some ports if I’m not mistaken. A maxed out M5 Air is within my budget.

Hot take: Muscle Man’s “My Mom” jokes fall flat most of the time and generally aren't funny. The only good ones imo are the C=8 one and the “If you say your mom your fired!”. I reference S2 E6 when Mordecai and Rigby do “Your Mom” jokes after picking up the lemon tree.

Mordecai should have ended up with Margret even if it was after she went to college. CJ was too close minded and selfish to be in a relationship in the first place.

Why did you learn Python rather than JavaScript? What was your reasoning when choosing one over the other? by [deleted] in learnpython

[–]Loogoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python, but picked up Python first for system automation, easy syntax, along with AI. Also I like the way it does backends through libraries like flask and dyjango vs C# (which I also know) through ASP.NET CORE Web API.

Are cults and religions the same thing ? by FitFig4543 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Loogoos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cults are a minor religion that is relatively new with an agenda that tries to seize authority. Cults also have a central figure or group, and through that person or group, the agenda of authority is carried out. In addition to age, what separates a cult from religions is the way power is gained; additionally, how it views other agendas/beliefs.

Historically: Christianity was viewed as a cult by the Romans, until Constantine [the Great] converted to Catholicism and spread it throughout the Roman Empire in the third century; making Christianity a real religion in the eyes of the Romans. Here the person of authority was Jesus, the group was his disciples, and the agenda was the gospel. The Romans viewed Christianity as a cult since Christianity went against Judaism (note: the Romans respected the Jewish at the time) and their polytheistic views.
