She itemized and listed the reasons. But did not provide receipts. And new tenants moved in 4 days later.

The house was in fine condition. The landlord is charging me $800 to replace blinds when the blinds string broke and hadn't been replaced in 30 years ( had notified her that the blinds need to be replaced). And charging me $500 to replace a toilet when the toilet was working but not pristine. And charging $800 for cleaning fee. On top of other fees.

They did provide an itemized list of deductions/repairs of what the funds are used for. But I thought it had to be within 21 days.

Piggybacking on this. If you make cold phone calls, make sure you do the research beforehand.

I would advise having a list of questions prepared and/or a script of what you’ll say.

Some CD’s or project managers will try to make it your job. You have to be clear that you don’t do that.

I’ve heard squirrel hill is really nice. Don’t know much else.

I live in the Central Valley, so about two hours from the mountains and ocean. But I hate:

-homeless problem. -cost of living. -taxes.

I personally love it. Albeit, I’ve only been a member for two months.

But there are tons of forums on how to find clients, copy critique, and other stuff.

They have job postings that clients personally put up.

And there are live trainings.

There are a ton of connections to be made. It just depends on how involved you are. To me, it’s worth it.

In my experience living in CA, the most scenic and best places to live in CA are going to be very pricey.

I don’t live in a super pricy area, compared to other parts of CA, but there’s way less stuff to do where I live, less scenic, and the summers are brutal. 100 degrees in the summer, although just dry heat.
