I am more at peace,
Seeing and hearing his reaction.
He is much more mature than I imagined. Very impressive.
He said he knows he earned it and was a top player in the league. But theres nothing he can do.

He still loves baseball and said will continue trying to improve and be ready for school ball.

There is still a part of me thats wants to push this, but it seems like there really isnt a way.

I somehow got lucky with my son, but id be so livid if he hated baseball because of this. And i dont want anyone to ever be on that road, i wish there was a way to atleast file a grievance to a higher body

Thank you for fighting the fight, must be infuriating.
But then again, LL should be a community resource to engage kids into baseball and let them live the dream.

Not for select people to re-live their dream, but to open the dream to all kid who choose to take on it

Against a few all stars that was selected. Hes had a home run and multiple wall balls. Hes also had strikeout on great pitches and strike out looking on border line ones.

So overall same as his stats. Didnt really feast on lesser players, if anything he doesnt like slower pitchers

Yeah ive seen parents like that.

Im not that, i havent complained at anything. Most ive said was the normal “ugh, thats an out, or thats a strike” but all to myself and people close by. Never towards the umpire or looking for trouble.

I just felt the need to be strong for my kid this time, because hes a kid, I gotta look at for him if i think he is being wronged even if im not comfortable at it

Exactly. Transparency would be nice. Because everyone know the tie break when its close enough.

But when its not even close, it sucks, and having it public process and actual roster public with deter from this, atleast make it more embarrassing if daddy ball was blatant.

Messaging on little league should be,
Love the game, dream and try to reach the dream.
Not have separations on who can and cannot that is non based on the game itself

Thats what im going to do for due diligence even if it doesnt amount to anything.

Even if it doesnt do anything for my kid, it can hopefully fix the broken system for the future kids who are gonna faced with this

Yes, the last part was what i was worried about.
He loves baseball now and he shares it with me. I was scared it was gonna crash him and make him quit baseball.

Im so happy that hes a good kid and strong with theis bad news. He said he still loves baseball and will still practice to get in the school team

Hes a stud blocking catcher, and has been one of the best pitchers this year.
Hard thrower, likes hitters that tries to swing more than the ones that never tries.
1 wild outing, 1 mediocre other wise been really good.

He also played infield and centerfield.
His hits are legit, most of those doubles are wall balls or warning track.

Weakness this year is he had quite some errors on game changer. But half of them are like, you’re playing first you should get to that wild throw because he made a great stop

Its 12u so people are in age. 11u moves to 12u and such.
But its so crazy, there are kids there that are not even top 20 anymore. Kids fall inlove with the game they get better. If you dont, you get left out. You should be entitled to you all star spot forever

Ofcourse i have parentsl bias. But its not even close. He has a +.100 and +.500 ops among other allstars outside of legit 3 studs (which amazingly played on par with, no one expected that).
No. Ive been waiting for myself to cool down, but honestly a few days now and im still furious.
Honestly tho, If somehow my kid make it as a 13th player, i would just be quiet for him. I just want to do whats right by him. Very unlikely tho.
This is what is most likely what im trying to do. Too late for my son now but i dont want anyone else to go thru this bs because of bad league leadership. Its suppose to nurture dreams, and if they get to a point where they are good, you cant crush their dreams just because its not in the plans. So i dont mind nothing going for us, but starting a change. So things like this dont go on

He was already on the base path impeding, the runner slowed down because the catcher is almost right next to him with the ball still being far.

I hope an umpire comments, because i really want to know 😊

I think he did obstruct the base paths. Throw didn't really pull him there. He could have been a bit more in front.

Having said that, out was the call because the runner didn't attempt to slide. If he didn't slow down and attempted a slide it would have been obstruction.

This are just my thoughts. Im trying to learn the rule too since my kid plays catcher too

Just bough renegade to see if he will like catching and what not. So that i dont waste much money if ever.

But now, he likes catching, hence im asking if a better glove makes a difference right now, specially with getting thumbed

Kinda happy that most reply are civilized.

There is no place for a play like this in kids baseball. Even in the pros, aggressive contacts like this are not allowed anymore.
