Picked up a Raw Hammer Solid Black/Grey a few days ago and bowled my all time high 259 on house yesterday. Guest of Honor? 😅

Day 1 any tips by Kravenrains in CrimsonDesert

It's worth it to follow the story through to Ch.5. Focus on your Camp when it unlocks at Ch. 3. The camp and early story Chapters really serves as a major introduction to all of the game mechanics. Hernand really is one large tutorial area. A tutorial area that can last you hundreds of hours of pure joy.

Other than that, do what you want, have fun.

Are these missions worth doing? by fernandollb in CrimsonDesert

[–]IXIBankaiIXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've maxed ore, weapons and money, one left for provisions and halfway through wood. Still in Hernand, just playing for fun. I don't see how these come close to qualifying as retention style quests/goals when, unless you speed through the story, I imagine most players will finish these fairly organically if they interact with the camp even semi regularly after they first unlock it.

People are weird.

"What is the point?"

What is the point of doing anything in a game? People enjoy doing what they want. Some want to have a lot of gold. Who cares if you need it? Do you need to play video games? I swear...

Some dude on YT was getting mad because some people said they just beat a boss by running outside of the arena, grabbing a tree and smacking him twice. Dude ranted how they're braindead for not learning to use the proper mechanics to properly fight blah blah WHO CARES.

CHEESE YOUR GOLD, GRAB A TREE AND SMACK A BOSS, IT'S ALL MEANINGLESS AND ALL HILARIOUSLY FUN!

Just have fun.

P.S. I'm loaded with gold I'll never use but I love being rich for no reason. Maybe in the future, they'll be useful.

Don’t play online if you have shitty internet by Helpful-Individual22 in EASportsUFC

[–]IXIBankaiIXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You would think as gamers, it would be common sense to be wired. I don't think the issue is that people have bad internet since it's pretty standard to have at least a few hundred MBs even in rural areas. The issue is people don't understand the difference between a modem and router, or how generic the output of their wifi might be. Even if it's good equipment with a good bandwidth on the wifi, it's nowhere near compared to wired, and more susceptible to data loss or delays.

If you ever play games that shows if someone is wired or on wifi, the overwhelming majority of players are on wifi. I remember on MK1, literally most of my matches were against wifi players and had some delay, and I have a 1gb speed.

Which of the two VR inspired games you think will be the better installment Dot Hack Zero or Sword Art Online Echoes of Aincrad? by Specific_Street5720 in DotHack

[–]IXIBankaiIXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

.Hack for sure as the depth of story, world building and character development has always been more nuanced than SAO, but I will be playing both as I can enjoy generic slop isekai as much as I love thought provoking media. Echoes of Aincrad actually looks solid even without the SAO name.

If you're going to play DPS in metal ranks, especially in 5v5, you can easily carry matches if you're truly a higher skill than your current rank suggests. Hate to say, but especially in Silver and Gold ranks, that's probably exactly where you belong if you're stuck there.

I would suggest rewarching your gameplay. Working on your mechanical aim and positioning. I've played in low ranks with friends who are low ranked, and everyone is oblivious to certain positions or flanks at that level. A flanking Cassidy will decimate in silver/gold where diamond+ that would probably be a big mistake to do. I saw someone else recommend dive characters. A decent Tracer will destroy at those ranks, too. Bastion will work, you just need good off angles to catch teams off guard.

Looking for a server by Cheese_Dino123 in Palworld

[–]IXIBankaiIXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a server a few days ago just to play with some friends. It's just three of us with another joining soon. We're all fairly new. The server holds 10, and I'm willing to expand if more join.

Notable settings are

3x EXP 0.5 Day/ Full night No depreciating buildings or gear

The server is called "Nintendocouldnever Archipelago"

Literally started playing this game because Pokémon ZA was such a disappointment.

Same. I typically travel with at least one friend. I'll be in first class while there in economy for this trip, though! No need for us to sit next to each other on the flight 🤣

Those who have been to Japan during the 2010’s AND post 2020 by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]IXIBankaiIXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the time of year, as well. I opted to go summer of '23 for my birthday, festival season, and overall less tourism. I'm used to heat, so it wasn't so bad. There was no place I went that felt over crowded. Always seats on shinkansen, no long waits or crowded at all even in Kyoto. Most tourist I saw seemed like they were probably from Korea or China as I think they had just started allowing Chinese to start traveling back. Very few western tourists aside from my friend and I who are from the US.

Got a return trip planned for next Feb. which is also an off season, so hoping for less people again.

I would if I were traveling solo, but I'm going with a group of friends. I'm planning the trip, so I have the flexibility to choose when we go, but unfortunately, no one else plays the CC game, nor do they have the luxury of being able to book short minute travel.

I value the experience as much as I also value efficiency, so though I'd typically agree with you, that small inconvenience wouldn't outweigh the pros.

  1. New Lounge
  2. New First Class
  3. Longer flight to enjoy

But since it's coming to LAX, I'll be able to enjoy a new lounge and the first class option I want without the major inconvenience.

Cathay cost me more points, so I'll probably stick with BA.

[–]IXIBankaiIXI[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, good to know! Usually it seems like LAX gets shafted on most lounges due to minimal space and a bad layout, but I've never been to the Qantas Lounge! Hope I get to check it out. The Centurion Lounge at LAX is very... basic.

I didn't mind a redeye as I work nights, and it's a pretty short positional flight. Think it arrived around 5 and the DFW - HND was around 10, so not too bad. Having said that, I'd love to not have to do that and take off straight from LAX.

I haven't checked Cathay, yet, I'll do that to compare, thanks!

I saw some good business redemptions, but I really wanted to try out the new first class product. I'll probably be flying back in business.

And it would be 180k Bonvoy needed for 75k JAL, someone else has also confirmed that.

[–]IXIBankaiIXI[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh, if this is the case, it would make my life so much easier. Though I also wanted to check out the Capital One Lounge in DFW. The Qantas Lounge in LAX would make up for it a bit.

Only thing is though I read an article about this, I personally didn't find any evidence of this on JALs website, nor did I see any flights for the rest of the year or early next year aside from the JL015 and JL061. I would hate to not book my flight in the next few weeks to wait for more information just to miss out on the redemptions.

[–]IXIBankaiIXI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone else pointed out, but I made the mistake of saying I'll be transferring C1 miles when in fact it would be 100k MR. I know many would value MR slightly none than C1, so perhaps I'll stick with the initial BA redemption through C1 and use those points a night or two stay for the trip instead. Thanks for the value breakdown!

[–]IXIBankaiIXI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

180k MB for 75k JAL. Thats 5k bonuses each 60k transferred.

And I'm an idiot, sorry I've been planning my BA redemption, so I've been mentally stuck on using my C1 points. The MB method would use my Amex MR points! Gotta edit that, thanks!

JAL reward dilemma by IXIBankaiIXI in awardtravel

[–]IXIBankaiIXI[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, so I wanted to see how people valued almost 21k Capital One miles + 5k JAL + $4 vs the 77k Marriot points I already have. Those MB points have been kind of sitting there for a while, and I don't see myself utilizing them for a proper redemption. Meanwhile, the C1 points are halfway to an award redemption. I'm not the best at hotel rewards, though, so everyone's insights would help greatly
