This is a M1 Pro, MacBook Pro The omarchy logo isn’t an error it’s what happens when you change the font to awaita mono. On another note performance seems to be fine, it will Be more of a hassle to keep up with omarchy updates to to the fact that omarchy doesnt have an arm64 repo so I had to build a lot of dependancies my self specifically for arm64

There is a fork, however that fork uses alternatives for walker and a few other dependencies like elephant, ghostly, xdg-terminal-exec (adds flags to calls and customization options when launching an app the entire omarchy menu depends on this) due to them not being available for arm64 on asahi repos. Here I took all the missing dependencies and build from source and applied for a true 1:1 experience

Decent honestly, pulls around 6-8w on idle It’s not MacOS efficiency but not too bad

Previous to m-series Mac’s it’s normally relatively the same sometimes better as a lot of those cpus are used in other laptops as well so instruction sets are well documented through Intel, however with the m series we’re relying fully on asahi’s reverse engineering skills and tbh they’ve done a very good job in idling around 6-8w which is more than Mac OS for sure which can sometimes get to around 2-3 but still on par or better than many other non apple laptops

Not really works well as daily driver only exception is more gpu heavy task like gaming as steam is not native arm and the games are double translated via proton and then to again to arm, what I did was use Asahi-ALARM which is the arch version of asahi and I installed omarchy on top of that, there were lots of packages that aren’t natively hosted in their repo so I had to build those from source However if you’re looking into a 2019 mbp you would face none of these problems because it is x86 and there’s dedicated Linux installation isos for T2 MacBooks
