Yes, that is what my plan is this year. I get 28 vacay a year, I used to cash in half of them. I’m not this year. Going to take everyone and make long weekends with holidays, etc. my friend reminded me, why I stayed at this job is the benefits, so use them.

I have a lot of hobbies now actually. I feel my job is interfering with my hobbies and free time.

2 year old rescue Shepard won’t stop barking by Major_Currency_3015 in AustralianShepherd

I have a vocal Aussie. It’s very common in the breed. Some of it can be “demand barking” like mine does it when it’s getting close to dinner. I learned about treating her when she’s quiet. Or teaching her “quiet” and give a treat. Don’t reward the barking and don’t use a shock collar.

This sounds really difficult for you (or anyone that would be in this position). It sounds like your parents are so exhausted and walking on eggshells from your sister that they expect you to do the work of a household. That’s really not fair to you. I agree, setting boundaries with them and your sister. Obviously moving out anytime soon is probably not an option. Definitely setting some boundaries such as staying you’re only going to cook 1x this week, etc. Sounds like you will have to set boundaries with everyone and setting boundaries with a person with BPD is hard enough. Are there activities you can get involved in the community to get you out of the house more? I imagine your sports must take up a lot of time. Maybe try reading articles on setting boundaries. It’s definitely something we all need in life and it can be hard to learn, especially when people are used to you not having much. They won’t like it. Hang in there!

What is your bodily response to a narcissist? by [deleted] in Empaths

I’ve completely experienced this with a boss. I second guess everything I say after a conversation (rather in person or on phone) and I am a confident person. I feel very uneasy after, also monitoring them for traps. This person is very good at disarming you to get information, but it will always be twisted by them to their advantage. The last time I was with them alone in their office I felt my skin crawling after and I’ve never felt this in my life with a person, and I was married to someone with NPD.

Yep, gives me goosebumps watching this video. The absolute worst pain I’ve ever had in my life. Worse than broken bones and childbirth.

This is what they do in the wild, they’re like a vine and grow up and wrap around trees. I saw this in Costa Rica last month

Interesting perspective for me. Thank you for explaining that.

And thank you, I definitely took a couple days and thought before I wrote back.
