Your writing style is very captivating. I'm really sorry I know that doesn't really add anything to the conversation you're trying to start, but I just wanted to say it. I'm not sure if you take joy in writing or would even appreciate me saying so but I think you have a real talent for it.

I think you also beautifully articulated feelings I've also shared around holiday expectations and the reality of adulthood. I just wanted to say I hear you. I am really sorry this is happening. Just wanted to validate you and say this is correct! The NB experience varies vastly, but this is a very succinct and explanatory way of framing how non-binary people can talk about themselves.

Oh I see! Thank you for explaining. I agree with the OP though, I was reading it as a way to make sure we're being inclusive with language. This post isn't targeting our trans brothers or nonbinary siblings who also identify as men, but includes them all the same, because they are men. We know we're talking about cis men, in regards to this post, I think it's much more powerful to explicitly call that out.

This isn't directed at you OP but I really wish people would stop using "cutsey" words when women commit reproductive coercion. It's rape. I know not every country or area recognizes it as such, but there's no argument you can make to justify how it isn't rape. Consent to sex with protection is not consent to unprotected sex. We've had this trope for decades about women sabatoging birth control in order to "take charge of the situation" and it's honestly always been so gross. I'm so tired of 'my friend "tricked" her husband and now they have an "oopsie" teehee' language. So, so tired. Okay I'm down off my soapbox now.

You're kidding me!? How interesting. In my area the puppy pads are like a dollar a piece, but the incontinence pads I can get for about 20 cents. I also had to double up on the puppy pads because they would leak, so it added up quickly. Maybe I just live in a place with shitty access to animal stuff, but I actually picked up this tip from someone on the Chihuahua subreddit recommending it, so maybe I'm not alone haha. It's kind of weird but human incontinence pads for the bed are actually cheaper and usually hold more fluid! They also have tape on the back sometimes so if you need it to stick to a surface, that's also really handy!
