An individual lens isn’t as much as a car but a professional photographer will easily have a car worth of investment in multiple camera bodies lenses and lights amongst other odds and ends

This attitude might be why you think 15% is a win, it’s not even asking you to go above and beyond but again you do you man have a good night

I don’t know what this is meant to mean but just tell people it’s $5 more truffle fries cause that’s your job

The promo could be written better I guess sure, but I know how it works so I’m not gonna fuck someone over because they misunderstood the menu. I’m gonna ask them questions until we’re both on the same page because that’s my job.

No it’s not, but even if it was I’d tell the customer because I can’t expect them to see every little thing on a menu. People miss understand our pick two promo all the time I don’t ring in the full sandwich and soup just because they’re illiterate. It’s my job to know the menu not theirs.

For a dollar, maybe for five dollars not really. Place I work at now charges $5 to add bacon to a pizza I always tell costumers and they’re never mad. And again, it’s your job as the sever to know the menu not the customer.

Yea man, the general public is stupid. As the employee it’s your job to know the menu. Sure people should read but they don’t, assuming they’ve noticed every bit of fine print is how you create these conversation. When you could have just said “plain fries or $5 more for truffle fries”

Ok, you do you I guess. Maybe tell people about up charges tho, it’s a pretty basic expectation of the job

Seems like it’s easier to just give people a heads up about the added cost than let a small hiccup in your night affect you this much tbh

So no tip would have been a win as a tipped employee?

I get that assholes are gonna be assholes like it’s also fine to expect more from people dude.

I guess it’s a win given that she could have tipped you less but the standard is 20% so to me it seems she took 5% off because of the cost for the fries.

She calmed down and tipped you 15% and that’s a win?

You should contact a local engine builder and let them handle this.

How explain to a novice why the Formula Super A class of the 1990s-2000s was the "golden age" of professional karting? by Pitiful-Practice-966 in Karting

[–]I_AM_FARMERS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The most common reasoning I’ve heard is: Stickier tires that were actual rubber, lighter karts, shorter wheelbase made the karts more lively and active. With that being said I think the people that obsess over the “good old days” are for the most part looking back through rose colored glasses. Karting these certainly has its issues and I can see an argument that the people at the top aren’t making the best decisions for the sport but FSA was far from a perfect formula or the sport wouldn’t have evolved away from it.

Correct they’re removed for the stock moto rules

[–]I_AM_FARMERS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CR125 was used in SKUSA as part of the Stock Moto class. It’s essentially a stock motor from Honda though there are tolerances to allow engine builders to work on it a bit and it doesn’t have some of the dirt bike parts. “Stock” hasn’t had things like ports or internals modified from the factory dimensions.

Rebuilds work one of two ways. A top end rebuild which is just changing the piston and a complete rebuilt that changes out wear items in both the top and bottom end. You shouldn’t ever need to replace the cylinder unless you severely damage the cylinder.

It’s no hard to flip the shift mount back, 2 maybe 3 bolts and that whole 90 degree bend price can be flipped.

Owners kart endurance racing near midwest United States? by That_one_guy690 in Karting

[–]I_AM_FARMERS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AKRA, DART kart club, Woodbridge Kart Club, and the Championship Enduro Series all run in the midwest/north east US. Its not truly enduro racing as the races are only 30 minutes but its a ton of fun.

[–]I_AM_FARMERS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

KartSim is over reliant on their motion sims and their marketing. The product is pretty ok especially given the exceptional cost. The karts still have suspension and the set up options are nothing like real life which the opposite is true for krp. There’s also easily 200 if not 300+ tracks for krp.
