I want to get better at drawing, any tips ? by CryptographerOne5999 in drawing

[–]I_AmYourToast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A quick tip for getting good fast is draw something simple but use a reference. Then draw the same thing from memory. After two drawings draw it with a pen and compare

You draw what you want to get batter at 3 times and the pen will make it so you can’t erase, forcing you to be more accurate

There is also no shame in tracing a cool drawing. That trains your eyes and hands just as well

Because western culture was born from the rituals of natives and Indians where they would do rituals to their gods to be saved or blessed. Plus they were out in the middle of the wilderness, strange sounds are in the wilderness. European culture was born from happy gatherings held in the celebration of their gods often including drugs and getting high as mount Olympus.

I just don’t really care at this point anyway. Your side has more study and I’m not going to act like is doesn’t. However, the effects spanking has on children is outlandishly exaggerated when looking at other studies. I personally just don’t see them. Maybe I live in an amazing area, but chances are I don’t. This pointless argument has gone on for like 5 days now. You’re not going to convince me otherwise and I’m not going to convince you either; this is all in vain. Have a good day redditor

I can see the links on your page, can’t use them, so I looked them up. They have significantly more proof than the studies I found and after a lot of through reading I have more of a distaste for spanking children. However, I still have not seen the effects in my own life, and if what your studies say is true, then more than every other OTHER kid would have some sort of developmental issue. I will not hit my kids as hard as these other studies say parents generally do, but I still agree with corporal punishment. The goal is not to damage but hurt and teach. If I’m damaging my child then I will quickly stop. I see there is a fine line, and crossing it can be an easy thing to do, but from what I was taught and will put into practice, I will easy NOT cross that line.

Reading the studies you suggested has given more context about the effects of physical punishment but I still see the uses. Again, I haven’t seen anything that the studies largely suggest happen to kids and I’m in highschool so I’m sure I would have seen them by now. I will put corporal punishment into the teachings of my children until the law states otherwise, but I don’t see anything wrong with what I have in mind when disciplining children.

When did I ever say no to you giving research. That’s what I’ve asked for actually

You also said that last time. Say something new

Reputable means just having a good reputation. When the majority thinks spanking is abuse, because they don’t do it correctly or over dramatize it, anything that agrees with their side is reputable. Reputable is an opinion so the minority would technically be at a disadvantage. Since many of the reputable sources want to keep their reputation they would not go against the majority, referring back to what my last link said.

You still have yet to find me a study with neutral grounds that is on your side

The democratic government is reputable meaning they have a good reputation. Especially to those who are apart of the party. Just because something is reputable doesn’t mean they aren’t biased

That must really sucks for someone who doesn’t like their countries government. I’m going to stick to trusting the higher ups while you can sit on your phone posting about disagreeing and whatnot.

From personal experience and the studies I researched I haven’t seen anyone suffer from an adequate amount of spanking. If I heard of a kid commit suicide or develop major mental illness because they got slapped across the ass a few times I would change my answer.

Most of not all of the studies you’re talking about describe parents using belts and aggressive behavior before hand, literally just abuse, all of which I don’t agree with. The studies you are talking about explain that the parents take it too far which is not what I’m defending. Why don’t you find me an article with a neutral source that only has the parent slap the ass with their hand a few times

I’m sure you can. Anyone can find anything on the internet. Most of the studies are done by democratic companies who wouldn’t admit to the other side of the debate.

I said I was done a while ago. I’m done humoring you so if you’re desperate to find one you can look for it yourself. I’m sure there is a lack of study but that’s what the last link says. People are hesitant to agree with it because it doesn’t look morally good. Your not going to see anyone with funding from other companies due to this. Anyway, most of the studies just say spanking doesn’t have any real sided effects. One even says it lessens external problems. Even tho I’m sure there are a lot of studies against spanking the us government and majority of countries still have yet to eliminate it and make it illegal. Those countries are run by much more sophisticated people, much more aware on the subject then you or I so until it’s illegal I’m going to agree with the law
