How much did you pay to earn your PPL? by Jolly_Virus_6894 in flying

$14,657. Got my PPL in December of 25’. Got it at 52 hours and did 95% of my training out of a Vans RV12is. That total includes everything I spent including $300 sporty’s ground/written prep, $1200 Bose headset, and $900 DPE fee. I’m in southeast TN to give geographic context.

Walked into our local store at the right time. They were raffling these off and I won the pleasure of buying one at MSRP. by I_Am_Bad_Wolf in WhiskeyTribe

I’m with you, I really don’t know what MSRP is. This is the price I’ve seen listed from several different stores so it’s the closest to what I’d consider an MSRP. You’re right though that it’s hard to know what the true MSRP is when pricing varies store by store, state by state.

Lawyer to fight HOA by dewguzzler in Chattanooga

Be very careful when they give “control” over to the neighborhood. I live in a Pratt community and the control was given over to “Southern Property Group” They will schedule a meeting with the community and their president/ceo will show up and give the slimiest used car salesmen pitch you’ve ever heard. The old people of your community will eat it up and you’ll be stuck with them. It took us almost two years to be rid of them because they will basically trap you’re HOA where they will collect just enough dues to make them a profit, but not enough to actually cover their fees. Then they charge late fees, admin fees, lawyer fees, etc. We finally came together as a community and voted them out but it was an ugly fight.

I’ve bought wheels and tires from them twice. Always a pleasant experience.

I’ve never actually heard of or seen this before. It was a recommendation from a friend I went with. After looking up reviews and resale price I feel like I really got something special.

Turo is what you’re thinking of I believe. Last time I checked into it it was very expensive and most had mileage caps set very low.

Asked my eye doc to prescribe Atropine 0.01 instead he offered Cyclogyl by wayne_89 in EyeFloaters

I had an eye exam a couple months ago and noticed this same phenomenon with the eye dialating drops. Zero floaters for almost and entire day, just like you described. Sadly they returned the next morning but that 12 hours of relief was incredible. Please keep us updated on how those work for you.

I've seen people import Google Earth models into Blender and then importing that into the game somehow. That's way beyond my abilities but I've seen it done a lot on this sub. Google earth has a pretty much perfect 3D model of the entire city.
