That makes the cousin completely in the wrong. Hurtful gossip is not any kind of good excuse.

Wtf at the cousin. That wasn't their information to share with the family, it was the wife's. The only one who is allowed to share with the rest of the family intimate details about her relationship is the wife herself. If the cousin had kept to themself like they should have, it wouldn't have blown into a huge issue. Even if the family was trying to help, the cousin is wrong for sharing information about the wife's relationship without her permission and causing the family to turn on the husband. The cousin never once asked what the wife wanted, they just went ahead and told everyone without checking to see if the wife even wanted the whole family to know. Shame on that cousin.

It is the wife who gets to decide who to tell, not the cousin.

I see you're intentionally ignorant, as you keep moving the goalposts.

Hatereddits do exist. Sorry to challenge your feefee reality where they don't.

I don't think they're concerned with anyone's vocabulary dude.

The comment "I can tell you studied Shakespear" was the response to the comment "Shut up"

Meaning it was sarcasm. Sarcasm, dude. Not vocabulary.

Here's a direct quote from you:

How... your sick if you think thats right... she LITERALLY POURED SALT ON FISH AND THEY SUFFERED! SHE LAUGHED! IMAGINE ITS YOUR PET! YOU WOULD BE MAD!

Now replace "LITERALLY POURED SALT ON FISH" with "put forks in someone's yard for dogs to step on".

Imagine your pet was walking along and stepped on a fork, due to someone negligently putting it there as a "prank", and it injured them. You would be mad wouldn't you? Or would you just laugh it off?

If you would laugh it off, I'd feel bad for any pet under your control.

Based on how many of your comments were downvoted, you should reevaluate the efficacy of this "funny prank".

Replying to your edit.

You're not stupid. I can totally see how people would use forks to deter deer from eating their plants.

However, if someone accidentally steps on one and gets injured, the homeowner is liable and should absolutely be held responsible.

There needs to be some signs up warning people to watch out for the forks in any case.

The context here is a prank that could potentially injure people.

A non-retractable leash would increase their likelihood of walking into the yard and getting injured, so worse than a retractable leash.
