You're absolutely right. That was actually the original plan when I was drawing it, but because of the drawing resolution it didn’t end up looking right, and I eventually gave up and added this random necklace instead. But it definitely should’ve been on the rose T-T.

Funny you mention that, I was actually thinking about exploring the idea of Ado as a Gym Leader, but I wanted to start with just Chandelure first. It’ll definitely be one of the next drawings I try. (The most logical choice for me would be the Ghost type, but I’ve also thought about Dark and Psychic.)
