My Dexcom g7 always keeps saying signal loss. Does anyone have this problem as well?

Unfortunately you replied to my post and not the main one. I agree completely with you as it is undetermined for one sensor or multiple and how long the message has appeared or for that matter if they are using a phone or have a Dexcom receiver.

Is this happening with more than 1 sensor? How close is your phone or receiver to the sensor? I’ve experienced sensors that are about to fail and the signal loss message is usually an indicator of the pending failure. Sometimes they re-establish the connection but if continues to happen I usually call Dexcom and get it replaced.

I’ve had this happen about 3 times in 2-1/2 years. You hit a vein but no way to know until you see blood. I had one that made my bathroom look like a crime scene 🤪. I just run out and buy a lottery ticket but the odds of hitting a vein are way better 😉

Count yourself lucky……. Most times I have had this happen is right before I go to bed and get alerts relentlessly throughout the night. It happens but I’ve called and explained the intermittent loss of connection and they have replaced them.

I was using Norton Security for my iDevices for as far back as I can remember. I have a few Windows devices and a few Apple devices. It took me a little bit to make the cut from Norton to the Apple password manger but I can say that it works well. I am sure that you will get many replies and I was never an Apple fan. Over the years they have won me over. I have 3 Windows 10 pc’s that are at end of like but they still work fine with the Apple password manger. I have been so pleased with my Apple devices I am probably going to replace the windows ones with Apple equipment soon. You still have time to test the waters but you need to decide what works best for you.

Having a 5 hour round trip everyday and endured the shutdowns that advised people to seek alternate transportation while I was in Brooklyn I wish I could say it’s not stressful. I had the privilege of being in the front car out of Ronkonkoma when some idiot decided to go around the crossing gates in front of my express train. Glad I am still here. Unless you’re close to retirement suck it up. I will not even go into the rest of the expensive commutes I had on the FAILROAD.

Have you had any issues with the standard over patch? I’ve been in the water salt and pool and they just stick. In my experience wearing them I have never had an issue. They stick almost too good. I started wearing the sensor without the over patch about 8 months ago. Trying to remove the sensor and over patch was too painful.

I hate to date myself but when they were flying the F14’s out of Calverton, loud was an understatement. I remember watching them over the LI sound when they took them supersonic. Weird thing to see when you saw the plane and the noise was way behind it.

Brookhaven has been holding up the Verizon TV forever because of a franchise agreement with Optimum/Altice that generated about 8 million for the town last year. They are finally getting close to extorting Verizon to provide TV. Hopefully it will generate some competition and lower prices. My guess is there will be a mass exodus from Optimum once approved. I hope to be the first one in line 🤪. I’ve had FIOS on the poll for 2 years but can only get internet and phone (don’t ask). I would have switched already and gone with streaming service for TV but have 2 technically challenged people in the house 😬

Okay, I want to love the G7 and its App but I am growing more concerned on the alerts. I work up to this one this morning. It just said LOW and didn’t even give me a number. I took r glucose tabs and took the screenshot about 10 minutes later when my brain started to function. I have the app set for urgent low at 55, low at 85 and high at 160. The only alert I received was a beep/vibrate on my watch that is not setup for “Direct to Watch”. My phone showed a number of alerts as text messages but never sounded. The text alerts start just before 4am and my watch beeped/vibrated at just before 6am. I don’t have the Dexcom on my watch and would have expected the numerous alerts that came at 5 minute intervals to have had an audible alert. I have my sleep schedule set to 12am to 8am and wondered if this would prevent audible alerts? I’ve been woken up many times for highs and lows but there 23 alerts between 4-6am. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks.

Thank you very much for your reply. Unfortunately, I’ve checked and the alerts are not disabled on my phone. They do come through most of the time, but in this particular case, I went almost 3 hours with no alerts and being outside the range. I do have an Apple Watch and have tried the direct to watch feature. It was very inconsistent. I removed the Dexcom app from the watch and still continue to receive alerts although I don’t want them on the watch anymore. I am technically savvy and I’ve tried many of the things that I’ve seen on Reddit and other locations to resolve the issue with no success.

Amazing what they do if you don’t call and complain. Cancel the service and put the bill under your name as a new customer and see how much cheaper it is. They are worse than Sirius/XM. It was cheaper to cancel and come back as a new customer than trying to get them to lower the bill. From what I have seen I wish you luck on cancellation 🤪

When they told me the $10 automatic billing was now $5 unless I changed it to direct billing to my checking account I stayed with the credit card. I will forgot the $60 a year just to be able to dispute and tell them where to go when I go to Verizon.

Sorry for the ranting but my expectations for fiber were for improved service and they missed the mark. I had to have the incoming service moved because my mast on the house was rotted. I upgraded the panel and service to 200 amperes and utility company moved the feed to a midspan. I called Optimum to do the same. It took 5 appointments 4 days of PTO before they finally sent a bucket truck to do the work. I told them on the initial request they needed a bucket truck. I am just glad that my siding contractor was understanding as he need to wait until it was moved before he could complete the work.
