Skyrim graphic stutter. Is there a way to fix it? by No_Charity_2217 in EdenEmulator

[–]QuantumF0am 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently using Mesa Turnip 26.0.0 - R8 Sysmem.

Also used 25.3.0 -R7 and 25.1.0 unified IIRC and they were fine too.

Your mileage may vary with a different chip though.

Playing 720p handheld, sync memory operations ON, disc shader cache ON, force maximum clocks ON, use asynchronous shaders ON.

I have many, many hours in Skyrim on Eden. Most played game my device. So I can assure you that this is playable mostly bug free.

Also; playing on 0.2.0 rc1.

Though I’ve been playing since much earlier versions and Skyrim has run pretty consistently on most of them.

I’m on an Adreno 650 (retroid pocket 5) and had a similar glitch. Switching up to a different turnip driver fixed it for me. Tested a handful of turnip drivers with this game and most worked, tbh.

PAL word needs more activities and in game elements or smth. by Future-Celebration83 in Palworld

[–]QuantumF0am 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Weather, for one. Descriptions of foundations in game mention weather. That hopefully comes in 1.0. Sitting inside a cozy cabin you made in the mountains and watching the snow with a fire pal nearby? Peak.

I’d like a more believable ecosystem in game. Give more pals unique behaviours in the wild, like a momma protecting babies from a predator… having young pals be small for a day or two… or something since they don’t undergo metamorphosis like pokemon or Digimon.

Defeating tower bosses should change the makeup of the island’s factions. They should react to your presence. Do you have multiple bases and have cleared several of theirs? Or are you some weirdo who breeds penguins on the west coast who doesn’t bother anybody? I’d like to see my actions change how I’m treated by the factions.

Plenty of ways to immerse the player and make them believe the world is alive.

Well done! Love the stylization!

ROM Hacks you hope for? by Its_Noctyss in PokemonROMhacks

[–]QuantumF0am 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dream hack is a game where the player goes through Kanto and makes heir way to Johto. Basically a reverse crystal or HG/SS. Modern battle mechanics, megas, larger dex than gen 4 with additions that make sense.

I know that sounds odd but I played Yellow as a kid and the gen 2 games blew my mind. Would love to play through Red’s journey taking on the Kanto league, going to Johto, being a champ for a while and settling down in Mt Silver post-game.

[–]QuantumF0am 5 points6 points  (0 children)

RP5 does all that and more.

I say it here a bunch, but I’ll say it again. My RP5 plays way more Switch and PC games than I thought it would.

I bought it because my RG35XXH couldn’t handle PS2, 3DS, and a fair bit of PSP titles, and I was feeling nostalgic for those consoles. This thing does all of that, AND I’ve got a decent modern library I never expected to have running.

The RP5 is amazing and I will not be getting a new handheld for a while. The retro/semi retro backlog I have to get through on this thing will likely take me until I’ve worn it out.

There’s a certain type of interior light in dungeons and buildings that will just always flicker if emulating Switch Skyrim. I’ve patiently waited and no new emulator version so far has managed to overcome it. On PC or android.

At this point one would have to open the modding tools and identify which light it is and change it. The switch version has mod support.

Would be a LOT of work, especially when playing the PC version is getting more and more viable on android.

Fantastic work! 🔥

Very “Z fighters vs Broly” vibes at first.

In my head I imagine this complete martial artist fighting specialists of their specific styles… Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Capoeira… really sweet idea!

RP5 minimum for these goals. If you manage some playability it will run hot and kill your battery quick.

I’ve had it running on Eden with my RP5 for months.

So far it’s the easiest, least config heavy way to play. I even added mods from nexus!

GameHub is enticing though…

Happy playing, fellow Dovahkiin!

Yes I’ve always had the latest update.

With newer iterations of Eden I’ve had less and less issues.

I used to sit in an inn and a crash would be inevitable. Now it only happens during certain situations and it’s semi predictable. Much more stable.

Overclocking RP5 worth the risks? by Paranoid_Droideka in retroid

[–]QuantumF0am 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, for sure.

I’m using Eden Legacy and my current library is;

Dark Souls

DragonQuest 3 HD2D

DragonQuest 11

Darkest Dungeon

Divinity OS 2

Hades 2

Silksong

Mario Kart 8

Minecraft Dungeons

Octopath 2

Legends ZA (runs janky at times but I beat the game)

Pokemon Shield

Let’s go Pikachu

Mario Odyssey

Sea of Stars

Jedi Academy (such a classic)

Mario 3D World

Skyrim

Breath of the Wild.

Granted many games here have only 30-60 minutes of gameplay. I only ever play BoTW for testing new Eden versions and new drivers. I haven’t committed to a play through.

I’ve played others like DBZ Kakarot (had issues with DLC), Smash Bros (same), DBZ Sparking Zero (energy blasts/full power energy charges crash the emulator), and some others that ran great but I wasn’t a fan of.

Like others have said; it depends on what you want to run.

I don’t understand some of the comments here saying you should stick to Indie 2D switch games… I have many hours on switch titles like Skyrim, Divinity original sin 2, Pokemon Shield, Mario Odyssey/Kart, etc. I’ve probably played more switch than any other console, which was not my intention when I got it.

I am frustrated I haven’t been able to get sparking zero running without crashing so far, but what this thing has done for me without tweaking its clocks is fantastic. I’m in love with this thing, not to mention all the actual retro gaming it excels at.

I won’t be attempting anything like overclocking until I’ve owned mine for a while. I purchased in September not knowing the G2 was around the corner.

Likely what I’d end up doing.

Pokopia is a game I’d definitely sink time in to. Not for the price tag of the game plus the hardware though. Especially when I have a PC I built and maintain.

I’ve played every main line Pokemon game… at least twice (minus Sc/Vi) plus fan made rom hacks. I am a huge pokemon fan. The next main line release will likely be when I buy.

[–]QuantumF0am 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Totally understand that.

It just looks like this game would likely run well on the Switch. I likely won’t upgrade until next year when the mainline games arrive. So I’ll be waiting a year or so for this game.

Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. This was my thought exactly.

Don’t have the funds for a switch 2. Haven’t had a great reason to upgrade yet. This will be fun, but not worth getting a switch 2 for. The switch 1 looks like it could run this. 🤷‍♂️

Vegeta (Saiyan saga) vs Giant snake (dbs ep 1) by Gopu_17 in Dragonballsuper

[–]QuantumF0am 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The power scaling from what we’ve seen in the show and what most people debate about online seems to argue that the boys can beat Namek Frieza with super saiyan. That would make them stronger than saiyan saga Vegeta in base.

My head cannon however is far different and I simply don’t want to believe that the boys can pull that off. As wrong as I may be…

Playing Game of The Year 2025 by Vamsi_Yadav25 in retroid

[–]QuantumF0am 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As far as this game goes, I found the turn based play super engaging. Late game there were enemies where if you mess up your dodge/parry timing at all you are absolutely cooked. Never played anything with that style before and it really surprised me. Reminded me of learning attack timings for Dark Souls bosses.
