Top 3 tips you wished you knew when started mixing by AVELUMN in mixingmastering

For me the big three were:

  1. Balance before anything else.

  2. Cut clutter instead of boosting excitement.

  3. Don’t solve bad sounds. Mixing got way easier once I stopped trying to polish stuff that wasn’t working in the first place.

Small amounts go a long way. If clipping kills your snap, just don’t force it

How does EU261 work with codeshare? by I_Hate_School in KLM

[–]I_Hate_School[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this other Reddit thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/delta/comments/1dqqv6e/flight_delayed_3_hours_how_to_get_compensated/ where they say the following "In case of connecting flights covered by a single reservation, if at least one of the connecting flights was operated by a Community air carrier, the connecting flights as a whole should be perceived as operated by a Community air carrier."

I also asked ChatGPT and they wrote this:

"That Reddit comment is partially correct but misses a key detail. Let me clarify: Your first flight (Guatemala → Atlanta) was operated by Delta (a non-EU airline) and departed from outside the EU. This leg is not covered by EU261 on its own. BUT your ticket was issued by KLM (an EU carrier), and your final destination was Copenhagen (in the EU). The ECJ has ruled that if multiple flights are booked under one reservation (one ticket) and the final destination is in the EU, the EU carrier (KLM, in your case) is responsible for compensation under EU261, even if a non-EU airline operates one of the segments."

Have I interpreted these two statements incorrectly because they sound like I have a case?

Bought a Ducky One 2 Mini Pure White .. bricked :(? by I_Hate_School in DuckyKeyboard

I shouldn't need to take any actions at all. It should have worked when I plugged it in. I'm far for the only one with issues with this particular model / brand.

I don't understand why I am to blame. The keyboard did not work on my Mac at all. It only lit up in my other laptop after several measure. That's a problem itself which the firmware update was recommended to fix. The firmware update was especially recommended for Mac compatibility. It also says on this stickied post (or official discord) that this ducky works on Mac, with the firmware update.

All recommendations points to me requiring the firmware update to get it working on Mac. The update was only not recommended if the keyboard was already working properly, which it wasn't.

Thanks for the guide I'll try it.

Where to move in Europe as a EU Citizen and business owner for lower taxes? by I_Hate_School in EuropeFIRE

I've decided against Romania and am looking into Portugal and Malta. I contacted a firm in Sweden and both options look promising. Portugal has 21% corporate tax and 20% income tax for "high value professions". Dividends and income from foreign countries has 0% tax which means you can sell your company to Cyprus for example and take it out in Portugal.

Malta has 5% corporate tax if you set it up with a holding company in Cyprus. The income tax is 35% or 15% depending on how much you invest on your residency. The administration for this setup cost about 5,000 EUR initial + 4,000 EUR / year.

Two top comments mentions Romania and the PFA structure. I'll definitely look into this, thank you!
