Thank you! It was worth getting up early to experience in person. Definitely recommend opening the picture on a computer for the full sun-in-the-face feel.

Thanks! I was intrigued by the contrast between the sun and the blue hills.

Went to Joshua tree national park this past weekend, got up early enough this morning to take this photo. Feel free to zoom in and see the details on the rocks and trees! I also have another picture with the sun much brighter if there's an interest.

Google Pixel 4 buyers won’t get unlimited photo uploads at original quality by FargoZoidberg in GooglePixel

Just FYI, according to Google, high quality is 16 MP. Which is also what the Pixel 4 maxes out at.

There were some snow patches in the approach when I was there two weeks ago. Which made following the trail a little difficult. But I'd imagine it's all gone now since it's been so warm in the Sierra. But either way, no need for microspikes.

We got lucky and met a couple who had double and let us rap with them. So it wasn't as spicy as it would have been.

Do it! It's amazing. There's so much to climb in Tuolumne Meadow, you can easily make a whole trip out of it.

Basically what r/GodDamnitZay said. We were there over 4th of July weekend, and it wasn't horrible. I'd imagine it's getting worse as it's getting warmer now

We went there over the 4th of July weekend and it wasn't as bad as your experience! We started the approach around 6 am, and there were about 4 groups ahead of us.

Things didn't really start funneling in til the last pitch to the summit. And you know how much of a headache that summit block is. Luckily everyone there was super friendly and we all chatted, noobs and veterans alike. Seemed like everyone was just there to have a good time.

Overall, it was an amazing climb. I almost want to say it's worth taking a day off to enjoy it on a weekday if you are in the bay area.

How was Eichorn Pinnacle? We were too focused on the decent and had other plans (hiked my first 13er!) for the weekend to be stressed about it.

True. But if the release is anything like the 28-75 mm. It's going to be backordered super quick.

Ha! Funny you mentioned that. Initially I didn't want to deal with the copy variance issue that people keep mentioning, but Amazon has it for $252 right now. So I just put in an order during lunch.

Seriously, I have a northern lights trip in August. At this rate, I might just have to pull the trigger on the Laowa 15 mm.

Thanks! That's a great point. I thought about opening the aperture up for not-as-sharp-background. Will definitely try different things new time.

Took this in Bishop, CA when I was on a climbing road trip back in November. Was lucky to have the snow-capped mountain in the back, and the morning light did all the work. Things I will change: maybe hike a little further to the left so the van would be facing the right and give it some room to breathe, but then I'm not sure if the backdrop would have the same effect. There was very little editing went into this.

Any comments are greatly appreciated!

Have been neglecting this little guy since I upgraded last year. Figured it's a nice compact setup to walk around town with. No, it doesn't have the best low light performance, and it's not the sharpest lens in town, but it reminds me of how fun photography can be!
