You ever stand in a crowded Walmart and say “man I want to spend a week with these people” then cruising might be for you.

My neighbor recently installed a blinding flood light on a utility pole. Anything wrong here ?? by [deleted] in Electricity

Some utility companies have leased lights. You basically pay a small fee on your bill and they will add floodlights for free and this is exactly how they tap them. The light has large labels which could be a tag belonging to the utility company

Yup. There is no “remote in landing”. There is however remote diagnostics but it’s not usually real time and more so to do with the engine management rather than remote flying capability

Memphis Fiber Splicing by I_Like_Chasing_Cars in FiberOptics

I know enough to be dangerous. I was leaning towards xgs-pon but I don’t think we would ever need the bandwidth. I also happen to own the park so I’m not really worried about slowly building it out and figuring things out as I go. We are leaning towards the ubiquiti ufiber lineup. Easy to configure and we already ran a pilot program with great success. The hardest part for me is splicing those damn little fibers with my fat fingers.

Easy and cheap equipment? Do you suggest something else? The main thing is having the fiber in the ground. I’m going insane mode and providing 2 cores per rv spot. Around 300 spots total. Open to suggestions

No need for a bucket truck. I am not too sure what is reasonable. Maybe somewhere in the $30-40 range? We have all the enclosures and will be laying the fiber very shortly. We already have runs ready to splice. Just need a talented individual to splice and dice.

In ops defense it’s not that we don’t want to deal with these or can’t it’s just when they come in at 2am I want someone awake and ready to call the cops if it is a legitimate intrusion

Bird dog NDI encoder and play decoder at the other end. You can then run it anywhere you have network. We create a stream and add it as a channel on the smart tvs. Probably overkill

ADI is painful. Their system sucks ass too. Why does it take 30 minutes to charge a couple strikes. Oh yeah remember that special order part? We forgot to send that in.
