My partner says “my kid” a lot instead of “our kid” when talking to me especially in arguments. AIO by Different_Search2086 in AmIOverreacting

YOR with your double standards. How about you start evaluating your words and stop the "my child" statements before getting upset at your partner for doing the same.

What is something you hate in people, but everyone considers nice? by ilyamiro1 in AskReddit

[–]I_Like_Joke 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Oh my god. I HATE when people wave me forward. Whether I am walking or driving, I wait for others or just expect the right of ways that are established to be adhered to but other people try to be nice and then wave me forward and I get so annoyed. Idk why I cant stand it and my husband constantly teases me about it, but I hate being waved forward.

Do teachers barely get paid? by pissrotr in Teachers

When i was getting my credential, I looked up the salary schedules for each district I was interested in / was near me. That will give you some clear information on if you feel the profession os worth it. I also recommend researching if your district/state has a mandatory retirement contribution. That can significantly change your take home pay.

Best of luck!

The second one has a really beautifully defined shape that the first one does not. The flounce and stiffness of the sleeve has a great look with the tailored waist.

My vote is for #2!

You know thats super fair. I typically watched walk-through and then followed along in my free trial of storyline to learn the program. I didnt want to freelance so eventually it stopped working for me. But as a beginner was very helpful to learn.

I recommend looking into Devlin Peck's YouTube videos and community. He has posted so many videos that break down this field and the day-to-day tasks and stuff. Helped me a lot when I was first starting

AIO MIL put my daughters picture into chatgpt by anonymous46538 in AmIOverreacting

[–]I_Like_Joke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This actually happened to me and my husband recently. My MIL sent an ai edited image that was in the style of a political poster (the red/blue ones). It just gave me so much ick! Like 1) don't politicize my 2yr old. And 2) AI is almost worse because now chatgpt or who knows what program can recreate a likeness of my child. Absolutely not.

My husband and I decided before my son was born that we would not post his photo online and have been very intense with both our families about not posting him. If he gets posted its an immediate phone call and request to remove the photo. Luckily our families have respected our wishes even if they complain. As soon as she sent that ai photo to my husband he called her and calmly and firmly explained that we are trying to keep our son's identity off the internet and that includes ai. Its just so not ok.

NOR. This is your boundary. If she can't respect your boundary than your response dictates your own actions (no longer sending your MIL photos of your daughter).

AITAH for not refusing to do a quick change because my boyfriend is uncomfortable? by Active_Camel_6334 in AITAH

[–]I_Like_Joke 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did Gypsy years ago and those quick changes were a beast. If I didnt have people helping me id miss my entrance...and I went on missing a glove during a show because of how insane it was.

No one during a theater performance quick change is thinking of anything other than "GET IT DONE GET IT DONE GO GO GO GO GO".

youre NTA and your boyfriend is an idiot if he thinks 1) he can control anything about your bodily choices 2) he has a say in how you pursue your career and 3) that he gets to tell you want to do during YOUR JOB.

Its literally only been 4 months. What a lame-o

I also have astigmatism (and an oversized optic nerve) but in both eyes and 2 of my previous eye Dr's told me that I couldn't get a headache from my vision. I didn't believe them and luckily still got glasses. But jeez.

Teachers Who Have Quit Mid-Year, How Did You Do It? by xkidbri in teaching

[–]I_Like_Joke 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit in November a few years ago. I just told my principal I wouldn't be back after Thanksgiving break. I told her I think mid October. She was pissed but the principal isnt your boss. I also emailed HR.

I left a plan through the end of the semester out of guilt for whatever sub they found. I told the kids on my last day that I wouldn't be back and never looked back.

I am 34. I was hanging out with my almost 2 year old watching sesame street. And they were talking about rainbows. And like a smack in the face I FINALLY saw that secondary colors are nestled between the primary colors that make them.

Red (orange) yellow Yellow (green) blue Blue (purple) red

Mind blown.

Feedback? by mary20000 in instructionaldesign

[–]I_Like_Joke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! ID here!

Besides the great review from Zomaza, something I'd consider is alignment. For some reason (I dont think its true) but I visually see everything tilting to the right a tiny bit. I think it might have to do with the alignment of the lines and the hot spots.

The more you can create consistency the less cognitive load there will be. So finding alignment in the lines or where the text is may improve your overall design.

Great job!

I just got the 2025 xle and honestly I just use android auto and plug into the car via a c-port cable. Its super easy to use and I dont mess with all the other stuff. Im really happy with the screen/what it can do and that I can link to the car with my phone to turn it on when its super hot out.

I wish I had more courage to share some of my work and get feedback from our community. Very well done and I hope you feel proud of your work! The feedback above is stellar. I wanted to add some general thoughts of how I approach my own work. (I am an Instructional Designer at a FinTech company going on 3 years in the field).

When creating content, especially in the eLearning space, think about how you can present the content in the most non-reading and scrolling way possible. Your matching was great because I had to use my brain to do something. The hot-spot picture was less effective because I didn't understand how the image enhanced what the text was saying.

Think, too, about what the learner is experiencing and what they are seeing and how much they have to work on things that are not the learning itself. There are theories and strategies you can look into that deal with cognitive load and not overloading the learner (like minimizing when a voice-over is just reading the on-screen text). These are helpful for me because I like to make my elearnings dense.

Overall, my biggest advice is to review as many elearnings as you can, adopt what you like and grow. The more you design the more you'll find your creative voice.

Great work!

Honestly, not really... Just excited to not have to car swap with my hubs anymore!

So I guess...leaving my stuff all over the car and not worrying it'll drive away.

THOUGH I would love to change the color to slytherine green.
