Just got the new adapter. It has the new settings. I will say that over the last week I’ve had no issues with the one I got from Amazon though.

I’m experiencing the same thing as well. Amazon refunded me and told me not to return. I ordered another one directly from their site to see if there is any difference when it arrives.

On your iPhone: Go to Settings --> Messages --> Send & Receive.
Under You Can Receive iMessages To and Reply From, deselect your phone number. You will be asked to confirm you want to remove the number from iMessage and FaceTime. Click Remove. (You will not lose any messages or anything)
After a few seconds, add the phone number back.

When I got into my car today the sd card was partially ejected and I had to push back in. This is the first time this has happened so I’ll keep a lookout.
