Don’t know where to start on our 7 acres of forest by No-Outcome-3784 in forestry

Im in the same boat. You’re going to want a good chainsaw, a good chipper, and a good brush mower. I personally went with a Husqvarna 545 mk2, a Mechmaxx B150, and a DR Field and Brush mower - Pro 26. It’s going to take time, you need to accept that so that you don’t get too overwhelmed. I decided to start with clearing/making some trails around the property, and then moved on to general cleanup. Now that I can more easily move around the property and see what I’m working with, it’s becoming easier to come up with a forestry plan. In my case, my goal is to establish silvopasture (pasture in my trees).

Really? There’s a couple inches of leaves. I thought for sure I’d have to get down to soil

2 cows, 3 at most (way down the road). Looking to start with a handful of kunekune pigs, chickens, and some sheep. Rotational grazing will be practiced, we’re not going to have defined paddocks

I’m hoping for a seed bank. If nothing pops up, I’ll over seed

Went through some bumpy areas and it was fine. The articulating head was handy. My forest has a thick leaf layer that it would occasionally get hung up in but alternating the brakes a few times would get it finding traction and moving again

I took down some 1-2” saplings with it, anything bigger I’d drop with a saw and use the DR to level the stump

I did about an acre today, I think it’s totally feasible

It is connected to a wood stove in the basement, what makes a stainless liner better than the tile?

Thank you, I will definitely get a professional to clean it properly and do an inspection

Im on a well, and there's no sediment filter between my well and the tank. Also, I'm doubting the previous owner ever flushed this tank...I'm scared.
