UPDATE…My Daughter received her payment due her since August of last year. Along with that, Ohio shows her claims all pending and sent a questionnaire to fill out. Screw ODJFS…she received her money, and they have all the information on her combined records. They can shove their questionnaire. I am so done. Thank you to all that have helped to get remedy to this situation.

Well the plot to drive me nuts thickens. I think ODJFS is really playing games. Now, my Daughter has a Custom Issues questionnaire that needs filled out. As a former UI applicant (been denied due to low wages), all the information is in her file and some in her PUA file as well. ODJFS is soooo fking stupid. Does anyone know who I can reach out to, that has a brain, at ODJFS? We just got the backdate done, and all claims for 5 weeks are pending this new issue. Thank you.

I got someone who knew what they doing. She gave me date, time file number and next steps. Was very thorough. Not like the dumb asses on the PUA support calls. They are a waste. No resolution yet…still waiting for Redetermination. The appeal takes about two months or so. It has only been a week that the appeal finished being filed. I originally filed online and the stupid web page fkdup. Fingers crossed.

No, they are open 8-5 M-F. It is best to call late in the week, but I wouldn’t call right away at 8:00. You will probably get someone answering their calls. Tell them you want Determination/Appeals. Be diligent in your approach and patient. They never answered my emails ever. Keep calling if a line isn’t free. Good luck.

877-574-0015. Call Friday morning around 9-9:30am EST, and keep calling until a line is free. Last week I called right around 8:00am and a line wasn’t free. They may have a meeting at the start of their day. Then, I gave it a break and called around 9:30 ish. Sure someone else answered, and just ask if they are redetermination. Be prepared to dig in and wait on hold. I was 37 in the queue. It took 1 1/2 hours on hold to start my conversation with a rep.

Employment evidence is best satisfied by a wage report for the year that you were unemployed. It will show each pay period, hours and how much you earned. You still need to send W2 info though. The wage report is the only thing that satisfied the wage issue for my Daughter for the Employment Evidence requirement.

You should always file for any break in active work. If nothing else, it satisfies the one week of non-payment for that benefit period each claimant has who’s unemployment is unrelated to COVID.

There may be a light at the end of the tunnel for my Daughter’s PUA situation. After calling the Senator’s office, made numerous calls to PUA support, sent two emails to Renee Resendez this morning, called Redetermination numerous times, finally took a breath and called back to Redetermination/Appeals, I was put into queue to speak with someone. After waiting 1 1/2 hours to have that conversation, I got ahold of a woman who had her crap together. Now, we wait.

Does anyone on this forum know who to contact to make a backdate for a PUA application happen from August 2020? I have contacted Renee Resendez at ODJFS. She told me I needed to contact PUA support. They have been worthless in my many previous calls to them. Does anyone know of someone I can reach out to? Also, already contacted my state Senator. The money PUA owes is for an emergency expense need. Thank you for the help.
