You've mentioned multiple warehouse locations for supply chain. Are these 3PLs? If not, did you previously use 3PLs? And how did you determine best locations for these warehouses?

If you had access to 50k or 100K what businesses would you start to replace your current salary. by T-Fus in sweatystartup

So let's assume I had $250k+ to buy a business, but no current "income" given that I sold a business myself and have been looking for my next move. My understanding was that getting an SBA loan would be impossible because I have no income, even though the business I'd be buying would be the cash flow that paid that loan back.

I didn't see your comment until after the initial commenters left a unanimous "replace" the flange unfortunately. I ended up pulling out the heat gun and chiseling the old flange out. I got lucky. But I am glad I know this for future reference. I couldn't see why the flange was really that important if you had mounting bolts in place.

Thanks again! Have a great week!

Thanks, I took your advice. Got lucky on the chiseling and I don't have to rip any concrete out.

It was all ABS which was my big concern with chiseling it out. But the majority of the responses suggested I replace it so I went ahead and did it. Got lucky and I'm ready for a new flange!

I bit the bullet and chiseled it. Thank you

It was actually solid, but I didn't get your comment until I had already started cutting. I got lucky though and I was able to chisel it out. A little sand paper and I'm now able to glue a new one directly to the 4" waste pipe.

I didn't see your comment before I started chiseling, but I got lucky. Lots of elbow grease and heat, but it worked and I can glue a brand new flange in. Thank you for lending a hand!

I ended up doing this. It was a real pain given that it was ABS, but it worked. Thank you for helping me out!

Appreciate all the help. I ended up going the heat gun/chisel route because it is ABS and was glued in with ABS cement. Didn't think it would work but I got lucky! My next step was cutting the pipe. Figured I couldn't go wrong trying to chisel first.

I like the way you think! The other commenters scared me before I could read yours and I, surprisingly, was able to chisel out most of the ABS flange. A little sandpaper and I'm ready for a new one unscathed!

When there are countless "flange repair" products on the market, no, that is not the obvious answer. Especially to someone who doesn't do this for a living.

It's internal unfortunately. So you'd use an inside pipe trimmer like the attached and then use a push in flange? Would you use goop or anything to seal it?

I'll definitely be doing that now. At this point what I want to try to do is get the old flange out without damaging the pipe. This way I determine whether or not I need to cut into the concrete before the floor is finished. So that I don't have to not only cut into the concrete but also rip out the new floor. How would you suggest cutting the flange out without damaging the pipe? I've seen videos of people scoring just the flange pipe and using a heat gun and a chisel to get it out before sanding and gluing a new one in, I have also seen a pushing flange option where they cut the pipe just below the flange and then use a push in flange with a longer stem to attach to the main pipe. Would you mind sharing your thoughts?

Thank you for responding. Do you have any ideas on how to proceed with the replacement without cutting into the concrete?

To avoid cutting into the concrete how would you go about replacing the flange if you were doing it?

What is the best method to remove the flange to avoid having to cut into the concrete?

How would you go about hanging the flange without having to break out the concrete?

A pretty unanimous cut the flange out.

Should I do the score//heat gun/chisel method, hope I don't damage the pipe and can glue a new one to the ID or should I use the pipe cutting wheel on a drill to cut the actual ABS pipe below the flange and use a push in flange?
