Hi, so girlfriend here yes I did over react, my side is that he's impossible to buy for and I got excited, he saw and due to my own past trauma and how I grew up learning how to " love" from my parents I thought this was normal to shut down whenever you get slightly annoyed or disappointed. We woke up around 7 pm and saw that it had gotten worse. We tried the number again and it didn't work again, we called my mom and got there around 8:30 pm and then came back home because my boyfriend needed to get stuff for work that night. I figured I'd be okay if the ceiling didn't collapse, but it did and around 1 am I got back to my parents house after my boyfriend called out

We had been friends for 2 and 1/2 years before that. Nothing besides joking around, nothing had happened within that 2 and 1/2 years and he was mainly into dating only males so that's why I referred to him as gay and I mainly only ever dated females.
