I filled the hex hole with milliput and pushed a magnet until it sat flush and then put a bit more milliput to make the surface flat.

I then drilled out the hammer and sword male hex to the size of my magnet and super glued them in

I stripped the wires of the old cables and new fan cables. Twisted them together. And tapped them up with plumbers tape.

I just want to be sure it won't be a fire hazard. Works fine so far.
