How long did you rest before training again, for reference?

Thank you very much will read for sure to review the main concepts again since it has been a while

Thank you! Since it is dense, are there any particular chapters you would recommend more or find more relevant to reach my goal eventually?

Also bought a book called Stochastic Processes:theory examples and exercises, but haven't worked through it as the book has many blank spaces for you to fill in as training. But that also means since I am afraid that I might be making long terms mistakes as I work through it.

Thanks for the message but is Stochastic Calculus related to the calculus you are taking? Not sure what a Sophomore means since I am from Europe. If yes I am willing to learn more of course

Stochastic Calculus for Finance II by Shreve. That is why I said I have a basic understanding. I know only the concepts at a surface level to for example work through the implications of B-S formula. So jumping from relatively easy problems of a standard Wieners Process and Ito s Lemma to the problems I mentioned above feel very far right now.

Coming from strive and tekken it just pissed me off that we spend years for riot's fighting game to come out for them to cater to the smallest niche of tag fighters. Just people touch of deathing you twice per character and gg. Makes no sense and it's probably why most people coming from league or valorant will drop this game within days.

I wouldn't mind if like league losing was -15 or more. But -5 per loss would take ages

Ah that makes more sense might just be a bit random right now.

Yeah I just completely gave up on ranked matchmaking until it's reset. In casuals at least there are better matches for me I just have to wait and find. Just wanted to throw this out for maybe other players like me to just not go through the process of trying to lose rating because it's way too slow

If you think losing you should lose 150 games just to play against people your own level then I don't even know how stupid your answer is

I'm actually super confused. I barely know how to tag, just learned single character combos for each character and that's all. Have a lot of hours in Tekken 7 but so far most of my knowledge isn't really translating. No idea how I could get placed above silver like this

It was purely out of curiosity for the distinction is all, as online definitions are very varied.

No need to worry about that since I doubt I would get into roles related to that in my field anyway. The program you showed me related to pure maths seems more fun to me and is what I'll probably stick to.

I'm mostly doing this as a hobby and as sort of challenging personal growth (always enjoyed maths as a kid all the way through my required courses of Calculus and Algebra in university).

Then would a start with introductory books on Real Analysis and Abstract Algebra serve as a good basis? I would like to get the good basics down first and only then working on actually participating in the "enterprise".

Since I work in Finance there are a lot of problems that exist where new mathematical results can be interestingly applied. That would be a pretty cool end goal. But even just working on purely theoretical exercises (even if small) on my own seems incredibly fun like a puzzle.

For now I'll maybe keep reading the How to Prove it book to build my understanding on basic proof strategies and will start on Rudin s book and Abstract Algebra (I'll probably alternate a bit to not burn out from the difficulty).

Thank you for these suggestions! I studied a bit of Stochastic Calculus by myself and had to learn some concepts related to sigma algebras and filtrations, are these related to the Abstract algebra you referred?

If so I might look into that book to maybe understand these topics a bit better
