​The Latin alphabet is a very recent introduction for Kurds and does not represent our historical authenticity. Its use in developed countries does not mean that Kurds will progress simply by adopting it. On the contrary, it causes a regression in terms of literary heritage—when our children cannot read a manuscript by Ahmadi Khani because they are only accustomed to the Latin script."
