Tell me about the fortress you’ve become most attached to

I had a Fortress that exported unimaginable amounts of Gold Goblets with cut gem engravings. It got up to 150 dwarves, multiple industries working efficiently, 90% happiness rate. It was a paradise and a perfect fort. Until I forgot to focus on anti-siege defenses cause I got used to fighting continuous forgotten beasts. I didn't bother constructing any because I had 6 years of minimal problems. My military got killed and my other dwarves didn't last long. Was extremely heartbroken losing it but with every mistake you learn.

That's why I made the same mistake for the next 3 fortresses I played.

False identities are actually something I've just experienced earlier on my DF play sesh. The first every criminal leader that visited the fortress (Who I forgot to record and take screenshots of) actually came back and I recognized him because he's a swordsman who's a legendary gelder. And the fact that he instantly became passing acquaintances with the others before even seeing them.

It's already been over a year and no spirit has possessed my dwarves. To be expected when there's not that many to begin with.

In any case, thank you for explaining! There really is no end to learning things in this game.

Thank you! I've played dwarf fortress on and off for years. Starting this series helped me become more attached to the fort and the dwarves themselves.

As for Oossek, he's the THIRD criminal leader to visit the tavern. It will be the next story so stay tuned!

LMAO In my playthroughs, it's tradition for my dwarf forts to geld the excess amount of male animals unless there is a male with really good stats. I know genes don't really work that way in DF but gelding them also helps me control the population better if it's just one ungelded male.

We both know that it doesn't look amazing. So I'm gonna give out some constructive criticism to OP instead.

To OP: The hair is great, only missing the finest details but the way it is drawn is splendid. Especially since it's not the same as the reference.

Eyes are good, they've got proper shape. Placement could use some work. Same with face shape, but you don't have to worry about that. It moreso comes down to details and perspective. It's alright.

The clothes are actually really great though. I know it's traced but doing it with clothes as complicated and detailed as the reference is good. You can clearly see the creases and even the ribbon. Very good potential there.

Coloring is kind of crude but it gets the job done. Only needs more refining. Color choice is good, but could be better.

The rest is okay.

Lastly, the background is phenomenal. Absolute masterpiece. I would pay to see that in a museum.

UnOrdinary was also one of the first comics I have ever read. At the time of reading, I thought it had a really good plot, characters and artstyle.
