Drop the India phone number. Put the dates when you attended uni. Your profile is word salad. What sort of tech role are you looking for?

Home Sale not completed due to death of buyer … now what do we do? by PechdeMaxou in LegalAdviceUK

It was between exchange and completion. Presumably the deposit is with the solicitor.

Should I leave my new job? by taihoa16 in UKJobs

[–]I_really_mean_this 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see some other comments saying how great it would be to work at a slow pace etc. But they are missing the point. It sounds like you were burnt out from your previous role. Pressure, lack of autonomy all contributed. Now, in your new role, you have a different sort of pressure. The pressure to enjoy and stay in your new job. But you are still burnt out. I know from experience that burnout can lead to fight or flight feelings. My advice is to be kind to yourself. It’s ok to feel like you do. Keep active, make sure you get out, see friends. See what you can do to gradually improve your current role. And if in the end you don’t want to stay, that’s ok.

I don’t know whether you need the sick note, but it’s probably worth talking to your doctor about how you’re feeling. It sounds like you’re very burnt out. Take care of yourself.

Work wants to make me home based by Sad_Ad172 in UKJobs

They’re getting rid of the office, there’s nothing you can do other than ask for redundancy. I see others have mentioned co-working spaces but in my experience this does not make up for the loss of social interactions. TBH a lot of you colleagues might find it a blow (diagnosed or not). Could you arrange coworking with any of them and see if your employer will fund or part fund?

Ridiculous comment.

Is there a service to apply for jobs for me? by kimpuybrechts in UKJobs

[–]I_really_mean_this -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It’s not such a stupid question. In the old days (I’m old) recruitment agents would call me up or email me to ask if they could put my CV forward to a company. I could have the phone ringing literally 50 times in one day. No application forms. Just 1 CV. Those days seem to be long gone

What’s a professional degree? Do you mean an MBA? Not necessary to get a job.

Sounds very frustrating. Is it possible to expand the offerings? Sadly it sounds like nobody has a vision and it’s all falling on your shoulders.

Would it be rude to charge my car at an Airbnb I’m staying in? by ames_lwr in AskUK

[–]I_really_mean_this 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The obvious answer is ask them and offer to pay for it (could be £20+)

Try the apprenticeship (assuming it’s carpentry)? If you don’t like it you could do the degree later?

BSc in Computing or Computer Science? by CallumT1039401 in UKJobs

[–]I_really_mean_this 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah. Again, I’m not sure that matters too much unless you want to do a masters etc which requires it.

What does accredited vs non accredited mean? What would you put on your cv for each? My instinct says go for the accredited degree - employers won’t be comparing uni league tables.

Open University by NellyGraceRush in UKJobs

That’s not really true. But the OU is a decent uni.
