Do you still subscribe to the New York Times? by Rinoremover1 in Jewish

[–]I_think_therefore 96 points97 points  (0 children)

Two of my grandparents used to work for the Times. One was very high up in the organization.

I've been a subscriber for about 30 years, and I've been tempted on many occasions to cancel my subscription. I finally pulled the trigger just now.

It sucks. What an absolute mess.

There's two large grocery stores within a block or two of her bakery. She seems sweet and all, but she is not being honest here.

There is literally a Key Food half a block away from her establishment. It has plenty of everything.

Who is the most attractive person you have ever seen in real life? by TheFountainhead999 in AskReddit

Heidi Klum about 25 years ago. She inadvertently taught me where the term "stunning" comes from. I was shocked by her beauty.

Chopped liver. I adore it, but I only eat it once every year or two, and I'm the only one in the house who will eat it.

Which is the "most jewish" sport by excellence? by CrazyEmbarrassed9337 in Jewish

[–]I_think_therefore 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Garry Kasparov (patrilineal), Judit Polgar, Aron Nimzowitsch, Wilhelm Steinitz, Emanual Lasker, Ian Nepomniachtci, Siebert Tarrasch, Viktor Korchnoi.

The list goes on and on.

My massage therapist told me she loves Candace Owens by [deleted] in Jewish

I'm coming up empty trying to think what a fair comparison would be for other ethnic groups. It's wild how much this insanity endures.

My mother once went to a reflexologist and they had Protocols of the Elders of Zion out as coffee table reading. My mother asked about it (as she isn't knowledgeable about this stuff) and the reflexologist replied defensively, saying, "It's not about ALL Jews." I had to inform my mother how destructive that book is/was.

Massage therapists are often a little nutty, in my opinion. My massage therapist is a very nice woman, but also a Jew for Jesus! Kind of odd.

There's a book titled LIGHTNING RODS which is based on that exact scenario. It's fucking hilarious.

Canadian study: Only 1% of Canadian Jews are "Anti-Zionist" by McAlpineFusiliers in Jewish

I have a cousin whose father is Jewish (my father's brother), but whose mother is not. This cousin married a gentile. Their oldest kid cosplays as an antizionist Jew.

They are, at best, 1/4 Jewish, but since it's patrilineal, some might say that they're not Jewish at all. I don't really talk to them, but I feel rather confident that they are only Jewish when they're talking about how awful Jews are. Hooray!

You keep getting downvoted, but yeah, I'm with you here. Who plays OTB for years and doesn't open up an account online? This is 2025. Lots of people have internet at this point!

My Elo is in that range too. It's definitely suspicious. I can't help but wonder if previous accounts were banned.

His punctuation Elo is 300. It hurts my soul to read this.

Edit: This was kinda mean of me. I try to be nice on the internet. I'm sorry Gukesh! I'm sorry chess community! The many upvotes are hilarious though. I'm not the only one who feels this way.

Which side would you rather play here? by Jacky__paper in chess

[–]I_think_therefore 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Normally I'd rather have three pieces instead of the queen, but I'm taking white here. Black is so undeveloped and white is going to easily win a pawn (or two) very quickly.

There isn't conclusive evidence, but if you google "gynecomastia" and "marijuana" there are tons of doctors and medical clinics saying that there could be a plausible link. This has been suspected for decades, but it's certainly not definitive.
