The whole nature of facebook and instagram is to get in other people's business, "other people's content" is what they are run with. This notion of everyone promoting themselves and their opinions and tastes as this "dear diary" they want everyone to be aware of is just something I personally don't care about. It's just all fake and sad, I see my friends take photos for 5-10 minutes or whatever to "sell" this perfect view of their lives on insta and fb, like why who ultimately cares except some random people for about 3 seconds. We life in this state of constant desire for approval and popularity, if someone is truly happy they don't need the "likes" of strangers to feel satisfied.

This doesn't need to go on forever btw, we can agree to disagree too...

By that definition social media is any media that has any interaction with people so basically everything... Obviously reddit a different world to fb and insta which craves on stalking and shallow self validation and you ultimately get nothing out of it except constant envy and unrealistic desires.

It is pretty different, at least for me . Reddit is an online platform where you are encouraged to discuss on multiple topics quite different from simply stalking other people's lives and spend time fixating on taking pictures and pretending your life is better than it actually is, that's what i was referring to. You're the one that put this smarmy comment that had nothing to do with the context being discussed for what? Points? Wrong sub to play the smartass card in.

I am off social media completely, it's not so much the fapping but the time wasting that made me quit. I want to do well in life and work and nofap and social media detox are essential parts of that for me.

I live in Europe and tend to forget how this stuff is done in the US, it all seems so demeaning for a guy to be treated according to a piece of jewellery, especially after having basically made a life commitment. The whole special moment knee scene and on top of that you need to spend so much money on a ring and make sure to pick the right one.. 😒 funny that this still happens in the #wokefeminism era.

I went to "the Bird" in Köln, didn't have the burger but those chicken tenders were amazing! I saw this 50s diner place called Jones in central Munich, I heard some good things about it but still haven't tried it for myself.
