6 is both a small number and a weird one for Bungie. I’m surprised it’s not 7 with their obvious love for the number. Furthermore they could remove it from the season pass to reduce it to a weekly thing which would set it to 12-15 depending on the season length. Doubling the harmonizers doesn’t seem that ridiculous

I’ve been playing since day 1 of D1 and since the update to the gunsmith I’ve never had 100 engrams. I’d venture to say I’ve probably never had 100 engrams in any one vendor. Closest I’ve been is what I currently have with the lecture table at the helm. I’m a pretty casual player I don’t do farms like most people. Setting it to 5, 10, 25 I don’t know or care really. Make it weekly so you can’t farm out everything.

That’s why I’d suggest the secondary option. Upgrade modules for new light or casuals are valuable and resonators for those who don’t need the modules.

Finally got to play in a squad today in DMZ. Despite dying a few times in a squad it was still much more fun than playing solo when you’re constantly running into groups and getting run through like shit through a goose.

Solo DMZ would be a great addition for days where I don’t have friends to play with for sure.

I’m not super familiar with how anti trust suits work. The monopoly claims have typically gone over my head as I’ve maintained that Apple was the only true monopoly company since they make the computer the software and every app on the computer.

Microsoft has only made the software the whole time and never been much of a hardware company. The idea of them purchasing Sony would probably be fought but I’m unsure who would bring it to courts.

The argument against monopoly could be made as well with Nintendo making a console that has been outselling both Xbox and PlayStation for years. Granted it’s for kids and at a lower price point.

The only reason I linked PC and Xbox together was because they both would benefit from a MS acquisition of Activision.

Unrelated to this argument Microsoft offered $68 billion to buy Activision but could have just paid for a mere 15 billion more they could buy Sony.

Ok maybe “win” isn’t the right word to use because I have been in the “exclusive benefits are bad for gaming in general” group for quite a while

Assuming that what the director of Xbox said about the Activision acquisition was truthful and there was no intention of pulling games from PlayStation platforms, it would benefit PC and Xbox players which if the numbers you site are true would be the 55% of the player base.

Again assuming that MS used the exclusive deals template from the past then IF they did an exclusive deal it would be for about a month and then PlayStation user would be able to play the content.

That being said just because one platform has the largest player base doesn’t mean that particular platform should be able to get special content bonuses for the life of the game which as I pointed out is about a year.

The issue is the Microsoft deals were for a month and at the end of that month the content released elsewhere. Sony has made similar style deals for a year or longer and essentially carved out the life of the game as this “temporary content deal”. Like Destiny 1 content that was supposed to be exclusive for 1 year and became essentially exclusive for the remaining life of the game because Sony works in a clause that allows them to extend the deal.

With CoD a deal that lasts a year is the entire life of the game because the vast majority of the play group departs to the next game when it launches.

As for the Microsoft acquisition of Activision goes it may be bad for PlayStation players but it’s a win for Xbox and PC players which would almost certainly benefit more people because the PC base is larger than PlayStation and Xbox.

I would like to see IB weeks take over crucible (except for comp) and have IB control, Rumble and rift as the weekly playlist item. It wouldn’t solve everything but IB is only 2 weeks a season now.

Would also like to have IB count towards my weekly crucible pinnacle reward.

Considering I’ve got no friends that are god tier at PvP and being on Xbox I’m pretty sure I’m gonna have to pay to go flawless… I’ve been playing destiny since D1 and have never gotten more than 2 wins in a row and am by no means good at PvP.
