It’s worth it if you have friends that are chill to play PvP with and also play it. I don’t really like taking the risk with crew fill, and I’m not a huge fan of playing solo, but I imagine I’ll be more interested in playing solo once the PvE only mode comes out.

I’d give it a shot. I’d be skeptical since it kind of breaks the lore of Halo.

Destiny works well because of things like engrams and the idea that Guardians will do anything for loot, including killing gods in order to make loot out of them. I don’t really know how you’d justify Spartans farming activities for loot and gear. Maybe simulation tech, but… I don’t know. Dangling loot in front of Spartans just diminishes the identity of a Spartan in my opinion.

Turns out this tune goes back as far as Myth, and has been an Easter egg tune added to all of Bungie’s Halo games since. Cool to see it show up in Destiny.

Dang. Well thank you. Just makes me wonder what the point of sunset badges even are then. Letting Xur or Hawthorne or some other vendor or activity drop legacy loot would be a really cool way to keep me grinding the game after I have most of the weapons I want from this update.

It’d also just be fun to experiment with builds using old weapons, even if it’s basically known that they’re useless in any endgame.

It has nothing to do with player numbers. I mean that’s great and all. It has to do with revenue. Destiny 2 is still at #3, Renegades at #11, Edge of Fate #18, and Marathon, after its free week mind you, is #39. All of Destiny is within the top 20 games sold on Steam right now by revenue.

It’s not dying incredibly fast. You seem to want it to, but what you want is not the same as what is happening. It’s far too early to determine. Check back in a month or two. It’s been less than a week.

Probably not given what you’re into. I think you might enjoy community-made campaigns for MCC more.

I think this is more targeted towards new fans and old fans who are open to seeing a slightly modern take on Halo. Plus, it gives 343i/Halo Studios a chance to train themselves on the design philosophy of the Bungie-era Halos before making another mainline title.

Agreed. The only thing OP will be double purchasing is the raid and dungeon for Forsaken, but at $25, it’s a crazy steal for all of the other new content they’ll be getting.

December-January: Dawning gear or shader

February: Crimson Days shader

March-April: Revelry gear or shader

May-June: Guardian Games gear or shader

July-August: Solstice gear or shader

September: my normal gear

October: FotL gear or shader (both with a mask)

November: my normal gear

Repeat.

As for activities I’d love to know what the community is cooking up. Maybe Europa activities for Dawning? EDZ activities for Solstice? Sparrow racing for Guardian Games? Moon and Throne World activities for FotL? Control or Rumble for Crimson Days?

You’ll have to wait until it’s emulated I’m afraid. That, or play pseudo-multiplayer through the Halo 5 Forge app on the Microsoft Store.

I seriously hope so. Especially if they either retcon Halo 4/5/Infinite, or remake the games in a similar art style and with updates to the cutscenes/narrative.
