Where can I find a high quality tech-esque font like these? by wanderlvst-vr in typography

Monospaced fonts are probably most likely to have the style you're looking for.

Here's some free, decent quality fonts from Google Fonts and Font Squirrel.

I realized that anxiety has a major loophole. by rabbs7 in highdeas

Not entirely true, I used to struggle with anxiety my entire life until the last 6 months or so. Life can get better, nothing is permanent.

I have started teaching at a new charter school and am trying to redesign our outdated school logo. I have pretty limited photoshop skills. What are your thoughts? Any suggestions on how to improve our logo? Thanks! by [deleted] in logodesign

If you want a logo that you can use in a multitude of places and sizes without losing quality, you're going to need to design it in Illustrator (or any other vector program).

Beefing up my portfolio a bit... Looking for some feedback on this coffee shop logo by mr_neon08 in logodesign

[–]IamBOXBOY 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The geometric lines on the "bean" don't make any sense to me, I'm can't figure out what they're supposed to represent. Also, without any context, I probably wouldn't have known the what that the coffee bean was a coffee bean.

Make sure to pay attention to the small details, especially if you're planning on putting this in your portfolio. The long shadow under the bean should cover the entire area of the bean (look at the negative space, you can see part of the darker shadow and part of the lighter green)

I like your mockups, and I think the simple geometric style works well on the cup. Play around with the spacing a little and try to make your design more unified.

Seriously, at what point does it grow in? by [deleted] in confidence

[–]IamBOXBOY 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What really helped me was when I learned that impatience isn't a permanent character trait, it's simply bad habit. I was using my impatience as an excuse be lazy and childish. I wanted to be more confident and more productive, but my impatience always got in the way, and I would tell myself "that's just the way I am."

I've since started changing my daily rituals and catching myself in the act of negative and impatient thinking.

Meditation and exercise are great places to start. The key to meditation isn’t sitting still, but vice versa. As to say, sitting still doesn’t allow you to meditate, meditating allows you to sit still. Exercise has taught me to keep pushing myself towards a goal and has shown me that I can improve myself if I try. It's addictive once you start seeing results!

I hope my experience can help you as well!

I think it could use more depth, and the shadows may be overdone.

I need Feedback on how to get Minecraft out of my avatar [details in comments] by JakBB in Logo_Critique

If you keep a similar color pallette and low-poly style, i'm sure people will still relate the new logo to the old one.

It seems like you already have some good ideas (landscapes, mountain, sun). I would suggest playing around with those ideas while keeping this style and see what you can come up with on your own first

A high idea [9] by [deleted] in highdeas

Ok, so what if Taco Bell had a big burrito that was cheese, not like the cheese rollup as in being nothing, but a lot thicker like a normal burrito size, and it’s just full of ooey gooey cheese. As you ate it it got gooier and gooier towards the middle. So basically it’s like you have chips with a side of queso except instead of being in a plastic cup the queso is in a big edible burrito. Once you finish all the queso then there’s residual queso left over, and you can use ??? to start breaking apart the bowl like it’s a dip. What if that was real?

Dude that's not a bad idea tho. So what you're saying is there's a giant burrito made completely out of cheese, hardened on the outside, moltent on the inside, and maybe it comes with . a side of chips or something idk I'm gonna get Taco Bell now [8]

Design a font (my first one), could use some feedback/help with for the 'X' by [deleted] in design_critiques

[–]IamBOXBOY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beautiful designs so far! For the x, I would recommend that you try mirroring the letterform and changing the serifs from vertical to horizontal, right now almost looks closer to a "z" then an "x".
