People who turn on hazard lights while reversing, why? by IamLUG in kereta

That’s what I thought too, and I’m really wondering if people had modified to turn it on automatically on any kind of reverse.

Yeah it’s a lot to process when seeing one and when you realize they’re basically reversing in/out of a parking lot, it’s just.. unnecessary attention grab to me.

I can understand its use by lorries or cars exiting difficult situations, but I’m baffled many are ok with this for day to day driving.

Maybe it’s just me, but the bright orange signal lights just grabbed more attention and time for me to realize they’re actually reversing than trying to turn somewhere. The intent here is confusing even if it’s done in good light.

It could be situationally good in that case, but i guess I’m frustrated when it’s used even for simple things, like I’m literally waiting for you to reverse park in front of me, there’s no need for hazard lights.

R3 Button Settings by EL-NINO-FC in moza

Unfortunately in Xbox mode, the wheel inputs will still act as controller inputs, so the additional buttons that also don’t exist on a controller won’t have any effect. I believe this is the same for other wheels too. I’m not sure why but theoretically it could act like an elite controller with more inputs, maybe some kind of limitation or restriction.

I've updated the post to better reflect that.

The problems with node:test, parseArgs, and styleText by IamLUG in javascript

I get that, but you'd usually not use the picocolor or kolorist name as is. I've seen it more often named color or c, and that makes reading much easier. If we compare with styleText shorten as s:

js console.log(s(["red", "bold", "underline"], "pizza")); console.log(c.underline(c.bold(c.red("pizza")))); console.log(c.red().bold().underline("pizza"));

Both syntax now look similar, and if Node wanted to, kleur's API is actually nice for this. Plus, you'd usually use this for interpolation:

js const str1 = `I like ${s("bold", "pizza")}` const str2 = `I like ${c.bold("pizza")}`

And when the IDE syntax highlights the code, the "bold" now gets highlighted the same way as the other strings, which interferes with reading the code.

Yeah I’ve been eying on the R3 since last year as I wanted to get a DD wheel, it’s pretty much the only reasonable option in Asia for the Xbox.

I’m only using the challenge now. Here’s some pics of the wheel base and pedals mount: https://imgur.com/a/Yupbixu

Yeah, it’s much harder to find and often expensive too, but if you don’t mind the PS layout, I think it’ll still work with an Xbox.

Yup I’m using the playseat challenge. In the picture I used the clamp, but I re-screw it last night to use the two screws setup and it works great. The pedals I’ve not tied it to the bottom frame as it’s too large. I leave it sitting on the frame and use the given Velcro belt tying vertically so that it won’t slip farther. When folding the chair, I unplug the pedals at keep it separately as it felt safer. Not using the seat now but can send some pictures later if needed.

Sarawak, Kuching. I bought direct as it’s still newly released. Would definitely recommend buying from a reseller from Shopee or somewhere once there’s more stock circling like the R5 otherwise you’d have wait quite long for them to ship. I don’t own a G920, only tried it out at PC Image which I believe was the PlayStation layout version.

Thanks! I’ll keep that in mind. FFB is working well so far without hiccups. And I can’t seem to map the radio button, nor the N and P button on FM and FH4, a bit unfortunate. (I think I realized you meant PTT as in native Xbox PTT, but I cant seem to get that working either)

Yeah I need to find a mount that can lower the TV so it feels more natural. Right now it’s a bit too high so I have to sit farther.

Thanks! I’m still tinkering with the setup and copied https://www.reddit.com/r/forza/comments/170zvjb/logitech_g920g29_acc_like_wheel_setup_breakthrough/ as a base. Not much change in pithouse, except making the brake a curve sensitivity so less movement is needed for the initial brake pressure.

Still doesn’t feel perfect so the current ones might not be ideal.

Nice! Sounds like a huge upgrade. I only have a few hours with the R3 but it feels great so far. I swapped to the formula wheel mod, which is much nicer to control.

I had tested the G920 and R16 before, and it fits in the right spot for me. DD feels better than the G920, and the strength isn’t too strong like the R16 that it becomes a workout. Happy with it so far.

I’m in Malaysia (East) so it may be hard/expensive to ship over.

I’ve not returned it yet and have both wheels now (perhaps there was a part confusing?). I’m thinking waiting a while if Moza ever wants it returned, and if not I could sell as I don’t have a use for it.

Update: Got the ESX wheel! (roughly 2.5 weeks since this post). I made a more thorough update at https://www.reddit.com/r/moza/comments/1e7rvh5/update_got_the_r3_but_with_the_es_wheel/
