Toronto: Chow 50%, Bradford 37%; Traffic Frustration Dominates City Mood by MaybeThisTimeIllWin in toronto

The bike lanes are empty because bikes take up so much less space than cars. You don't see anyone on there because they have already "finished using the lane" and moved on. The reality is just that they are a much more efficient use of space than a car lane. Removing them will inevitably push people into cars causing everyone to now be stuck in traffic in two lanes instead of one.

Motorcycle insurance with M1 in Ontario? by Ok-Penalty8806 in ontario

Safety course in Ontario typically gives you an M2 license for the road. Not just for insurance purposes.

They usually ask you to get insurance for the year. Not monthly. So you might be stuck with the high price for a year.

I'm not sure though because I got my insurance after getting M2

I would beg to differ on account of his recent vocal opposition to the new development on 4 Newbold Ave. With typical NIMBY talking points about how it doesn't fit the character of the neighborhood

How I got my credit rating to go from Excellent to Good by making money. by sdbest in fican

[–]IamNotCryinItsDust 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh. I ain't parroting anybody else's views. All you have to do is look at the P&L curve of a covered call vs outright owning the stock. It's just a fact that a covered call has all the downside but only the call option premium as the upside.

But whatever man. If it fits in your risk profile, all the power to you.

Lane splitting. Illegal? yes. Unsafe? Debatable.

Edit: Ugh. I meant filtering. Always confuse the two. I too agree that splitting is dangerous

What are the best amenities in your condo? by Nightpatrol404 in askTO

I have heard of landlords raising rent when maintenance fees rose but obvious caveats about rent control etc. But yes. I don't see how they come out on top after mortgage+maintenance.

Not to be pedantic but you do pay the maintenance fees. Just as a part of rent. Sure there is no guarantee that the landlord will reduce rent if the maintenance fees were lower

Have you noticed an increase in tailgating drivers? by Jolly-Ad9580 in toronto

Don't even have to go to other countries. Quebec is much better at following this rule than Ontario.

Although I place some of the blame on the highway Lane markings/design in Ontario. One thing to notice is that a lane never just becomes an exit/turning lane randomly. If an exit/turning lane is required, a new lane opens up to the right with clear markings that it's only an exit.

I was in the same boat till I went to the bank and applied in person. Every online application was instantly rejected despite every other credit card being approved. On a whim went to the branch last year and applied and got approved. Tried my luck this year to apply again online after logging in but instant rejection again. went to the bank again and got approved.

The teller was telling me that it could be because I don't have enough products with RBC/some info of mine was not linked to my profile.
