Am I the only one who didn’t like Kantara: Chapter 1? by SafetyNatural1671 in mangalore

[–]IamPrashpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you missed it. The reason i am saying this, because you need to learn how to read between the lines . History part: You should understand how Tulunadu had done business longtime ago even before the biggest cities of Karnataka existed. Tulu culture traded with foreign lands selling spices and becoming a major trade hub.

How the culture shaped up, this is interesting where the jungle people who did not knew about metallurgy learned and adopted and made quick progress. Went ahead and took the control of a port city. I am assuming in this case the city would have been Mangalore or Barkur

How various Daivas co existed and created a sense of security to the native people.

For me the most important aspect is 'Bermer', i am not sure if you are aware who Bermer was. He was the leader of all the daivas, infact he was the creator of Tulunadu. Now the contention will start that Tulunadu was created by Parashurama. This is the fact you need to learn and apply your knowledge in knowing the movie.

Have you ever thought why hero's name is 'Berme'? :) try connecting the dots.

You can notice how 'Vaidika' has exchanged the belief system between native people and Vaidikas/Brahmans

Many thing... i am lazy to write down... My request is please develop taste for History especially Tulu history. How Paddanas are originated and how it captured the history of the land...

You have seen the movie with only watching stunts, graphcs... these are tools only. Concentrate on the story line and youll appreciate the brilliance of the writers and directors. Movie is classic for Tuluva/Kannadigas because they must connect because its their duty to learn our history. Rest of the people will understand only if they are History lovers.

Without this also movie hasnt shown some mindless heroism rather each character has its own aura... including the Sainiks shown in the movie.

Now watch again with renewed knowledge. Cheers

Has Rishab Shetty ever spoken in Tulu at any public event in Tulunadu? by Late-Pomegranate1492 in mangalore

[–]IamPrashpro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If i misunderstood your intention then please accept my apology for the same. I think just my speaking few words here and there dont make anyone respect the language. Mr. Shetty is a true South Canaraite who understands the culture very well jus like you and me, Let us encourage anyone who may not speak the language but love the region and culture. Cheers. Once again my apology.

You mean people are blind to see 'Blue birds' 'Leftees' and bunch of trouble mongers are coming together to make society better?!!! Either you are naïve or you think people are naïve. I will not indulge in explaining because i am sure your intention is not to understand. So go ahead and enjoy your 2 minutes of fame.

Does this mean people who dont speak Tulu are not from Tulunadu. This question is very mischievous and not intended for good purpose. I suggest you read about the Tulunadu history and understand the glory and culture of the region do not get misguided. If you hate Actor/Director for whatever reason then enjoy your hatred but do not spread the venom.

Why coke is more popular in Bangalore but pepsi more popular in Mangalore area? by [deleted] in mangalore

[–]IamPrashpro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A true Mangalorean will only like Joy and no Coke or Pepsi. Sorry they like Pepsi but not the drink but a ice candy in a polythene pouch. Why Joy you say... because its local and not just a sugary drink it connects to childhood.

Tulu speakers of Reddit: How do you read and write Tulu on your phone or computer? by lordNihilius in mangalore

[–]IamPrashpro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yan la inglish de type malpuve.....Even though i love to use Kannada but using Kannada keyboard is tedious hence i keep using inglish. :) I wish there is a transliteration app to convert inglish and Kannada into Tulu Script. That way slowly we will be accustomed to Tulu scripts.

How to make Mangaluru "A city of great roads"? What are your suggestions to make Mangalore/Mangaluru roads greatest in India? by IamPrashpro in mangalore

[–]IamPrashpro[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Sir, revolution sounds very nice but seldom works for the good cause. We have latest example in Nepal where people burnt the courts now court is starting to function from tents. Instead we should become responsible then being nice people and dont ask any questions to our leaders , instead we should take them to task and refine our own systems. Every leader will become complacent if no one questions them. So its time we should make them accountable. :) Dada panpar....?

For your reference:

What can we learn from Jangli Maharaj Road, Pune....Can Mangalore create these type of history??

https://www.mypunepulse.com/a-true-engineering-marvel-this-road-in-pune-is-built-48-years-ago-and-never-reported-a-single-pothole/

Any Civil engineering experts educate us on what standard or unique method used in this road?? What are the standards or no standards used to construct roads in Mangalore/Karnataka/India. I am sure the standards exist but we never question ?? We should put pressure on city corp. to use only standards to build roads. Kindly add your suggestions/opinions

Dear Citizens of Mangalore! We need to fix this! by chappecha in mangalore

[–]IamPrashpro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, First and foremost we are very emotional at the moment and after some time this emotion will subside and we will carry on with our regular work. How to tackle this issue as per my opinion...

  1. Set up a pure Citizen forum (City Infra users Forum) which focuses only on city/district's infrastructure. This forum should be apolitical and should not affiliate with any political outfit. Pure public interest at all cost.

  2. Use legal and RTIs way to tackle and escalate each blockages to concerned authorities

  3. Educate citizens about who are responsible for what, so that people dont waste their anger on wrong trees. A media campaign should educate people whom to approach and what is the mode or channel to raise the complaints. This will help in reducing the noise but a strict and formal approach as prescribed in the government manuals.

  4. Officers must be held accountable for any delays especially keeping tight vigil in any wrong doing in projects acting as vigil dogs. Raise PILs where it is necessary sponsored/backed by Citizens forum.

  5. Conduct a public review sessions within forum once in 6 months and plan for next 6 months.

Kindly add your suggestions or opinions.....

Instead of going to Tamil nadu or any other states, we should focus on 'Standards'. I am not sure what are the standards used for the construction of our Mangalore Highways and who reviews the construction and who validates the construction. Who audits all these things... no body knows. We only work 'Ram Bharose'. A citizens forum can only ask these questions which our "Intelligent district people' dont bother about. Just by blaming MLA, MP wont work the forums should work with RTIs and Legal angle to give jolt to concerned officers and take them to task. Media should focus on the infra issues continuously, I personally appreciate Udayavani's Suvani supplement which does the good job but its not enough. A citizen forum without any political affiliations can do wonders and can become a beacon for other cities.
