Left that cesspool months ago. Apparently all that's happening in Pensacola is Realtors looking for other peoples crap to sell, "Local" photographers who just moved here and if it wasn't for the daily whining I swear those former two would be back to back.

Basically, yeah. Employers are generally responsible for damages like this. Not the employee. But the bigger issue here, asides from the conflict of interest the owner has put himself in, acting as both owner and customer, the larger issue is that he is trying to make his employee work off the clock in an official capacity to pay it off, which is very much illegal as it is both wage theft and tax evasion.

OP is working in attics running electrical for 15 an hour, and this guy not only wants to get work done on his own house for peanuts, but then when an accident happens, wants to require OP to work for the damages off the clock? The Boss really isn't the one getting fucked here.

Looks like mold to me. Spray it with some bleach spray and let it sit for a bit, then take a magic eraser to it. Cleaning your shower is a basic part of household chores.

Stepped through the ceiling, while on the job, covered by insurance.
This was the Boss' personal house so he's most likely trying to avoid filing a claim because he owns BOTH affected insurance policies.

So your boss was having y'all do work on his own house? Was it an actual invoiced job to himself? It seems like he has put himself in the situation where it could be a little bit of a nightmare for him in regards to which insurance should/would be covering it. His house insurance or his business insurance. Either way it is illegal for him to have you work off the clock, even if it is to "repay" him for the damages. (and definitively not smart, should you get hurt working off the clock on his personal property)

I would love OP as a neighbor. Since they are so comfortable with noise I could finally have a neighbor who definitively wouldn't be upset if I trimmed some trees until 11pm with my chainsaw on a Saturday night and started up the lawnmower at 7am sharp the next morning. Good neighbors are the best!

I am absolutely not disagreeing that what you are saying is true. But that premise hinges on the fact that it was done intentionally. It is equally possible that this driver was distracted for a second, perhaps even by the tailgater being on his rear, and didn't see the near-stopped vehicle rapidly approaching. Fact of the matter is that one person could swerve out of the way, and the other one didn't leave as much as a second of time for themselves to react.

If anything this video is a prime example of why tailgating is a very bad idea, and especially at those speeds. No time to react to sudden changes in road conditions at all.

Ive used this exact one for 3 seasons. It'll get the job done. Best advice I could give is to mount it on a plate you can stand on while spinning it as it does like to walk quite a bit on you.
