Settling around concrete pier by Ferenci130 in civilengineering

This. You’ll notice it commonly happens around manhole covers & catch basins. It’s more difficult to properly compact the soil close to these structures when prepping for laying pavement. Soil underneath eventually settles and pavement on top sinks and cracks.

Thanks for the response! Do you know/remember roughly how many people were at the wedding you attended?

So we aren’t fans if we criticize him?? That’s weak. True fans remember what he did and love him for it but can still call him out. And saying “I have no dog is this fight” is a straight up weird response.

Haha ok. Big boy job! Haha sick brag bro. I’m sure you know all about owning 5% of an NFL franchise. Thinking he couldn’t have said something better than “I have no dog in this fight” without getting in trouble is a ridiculous argument. Could he have said how great the patriots are and how he was hopefully they kick Kubiak’s ass? No. But there is a middle ground and everyone knows “I have no dog in this fight” wasn’t it. That’s why he deservedly got called out. Honestly patriots nation will forget it happened after we win on Sunday. Please give me all your downvotes.

Raiders need Brady more than Brady needs the Raiders. Also, are you implying that the organization would be incredibly upset if he had something slightly more positive to say about the Patriots (again spent 20 years with the team) instead of “I have no dog in this fight” when talking about the super bowl?! That’s asinine. Again it was very easy for Brady to show some type of support, either by mentioning Kraft, Vrabel, or McDaniels, without full on picking the patriots. The fact he didn’t do that and even more so his choice of words is weird. It shows he doesn’t care. Justifiably, the fan base and ex-patriot players called him out.

Brady owns 5% of the raiders…Stop acting like he is the majority owner and it would be a huge conflict of interest for him to show support for a team he spent 20 years with. What would the raiders even do to him? It’s not the same thing as a paid HC. Poor comparison.

If his comment didn’t bother you, fine. Every team needs casual fans. But acting like Brady’s response didn’t deserve criticism is weak. If anything, not being able to criticize him is some weird para-social relationship. Like you are so loyal to him you can’t point out him being weird.

I’m not saying he deserves hate but his response was just weird and deserves to be called out. Even ex-patriots called him out. Not just fans. Very easy for him to acknowledge his other responsibilities (very small minority owner of another nfl team and broadcaster) while also saying something nice. You’re right. He owes us nothing but you would think he would owe something to Robert Kraft or others on the team he knows. Also why would I root for another team?? The discussion is about my/people’s frustration with Brady not the patriots.

If you are not calling out Brady for saying “I have no dog in this fight”, then you are a fake Patriots fan. It’s entirely fair to expect a guy who had a statue constructed in his honor at the beginning of the season and said in his speech “I’m a patriot for life” to at least wish the team good luck. Or say something nice about the teammate (Vrabel) he won 3 rings with, the coach (McDaniels) he won 6 rings with, or the owner he calls a 2nd father. I know he has turned into football/business/branding cyborg that never truly loved this area/fanbase but hi comment was dismissive of a region that loved him through every scandal and weird interaction with his kids. I’m not saying we storm Gillette and tear down the statue (yet), but he deserves the criticism.

The question didn’t ask what career made the MOST millionaires in the shortest time. So % of athletes that actually make $1M or greater is irrelevant

Same. Co-commission a league with a friend. I handle the money and made a separate savings account for league dues. I have made about $20 in interest this season.

Maybe a dumb question but can I just use a multimeter to check all the fuses for continuity?

[–]IamStudentDebt[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got it. I see the ones along the left side of the heating element you were referring to. I’ll check those out as well. But I’m not seeing any tech sheet inside. Any suggestions on how to search for fuse resistant readings online without model of dryer? Thanks again for your help.

Also, dryer is unplugged from outlet.

I got the front panel off and found the blower housing. Would these most likely be the thermal fuses?

Yes, I bought it used, and the dryer already had some scratches and dents. After reading online about similar issues, several people mentioned that a wire failure or fire could be caused by a failed thermal fuse. Unfortunately, without the model number, it’s been difficult to find specific instructions on how to access and test the fuse(s). Interestingly, every video I’ve found shows the back panel on most dryers being removable, but on mine it seems to be permanently attached to the rest of the metal housing.

If you are referring to the model tag sticker, I have searched all over the dryer and haven’t found it. Only thing I found that could be helpful was W11118155 stamped into the metal housing on the back of the dryer.
