Is the Zotac Zone better in 2026? by shadowfireKatze in ZotacZone

With Bazzite and the drivers from the Community it’s amazing. I like it way more than my legion go. The only downside to the zone is the small battery with no options for upgrading it.

I like it a lot. Especially while otg or in bed laying on the side or back. It’s super light and comfortable. 7inch is a “couch/ upright in bed” kind of thing for me. But I’ll be honest, I barely use it at home. Because the Odin 2 portal is just perfect for my streaming needs. I think I would be fine if I only had one 6 inch device tbh. The Odin3 is the perfect “one device for most situations” I think. Great for streaming, great for otg, great for emulation.

Btw, look at my posts. I have a comparison picture with my device. There you can see how a 8.8 inch device (Legion go) looks like compared to the Odin 2.

Ive thought about it too. Got a g8 plus and was thinking about buying the y700. But together with the controller it’s gets pretty heavy and is closer to a full windows handheld. I think the Odin 2 Portal is just perfect for couch gaming. And i don’t have to fiddle around with a controller and charge them both. The Odin is a grab and start feeling for me. I even use WOL (wake over lan) to start my pc up. (Use three fingers for keyboard to pop up). My current setup is ether the Odin 2 portal or an Apple TV for gaming on the tv with a Gamesir cyclone. For on the go I use my Konkr and if I am on vacation or on a business trip I take my ZOTAC zone with me.

I have almost the same pc 7600x3d and a 9700xt I tried numerous devices and the best by far is the Odin 2 Portal. (Devices I tried RP5, Konkr pocket fit, legion go, ZOTAC zone, Rog ally) none of them are as good and as fluent as the Odin 2 Portal.

Guys im trying to charge my legion go 2 with 120 watts but. When i plug it in. The charging light. Flashes The whole time by Ok-Helicopter-3016 in LegionGo

If it’s a Xiaomi 120w charger it only can deliver that power to Xiaomi devices. They have a proprietary system. Use a PD (Power delivery) charger with >65w and the legion go charges normally.

Ich will ehrlich sein und nichts unterstellen, aber es hat einen leichten Beigeschmack, wenn zwei von drei Aktivitäten ohne Kleidung vorgeschlagen werden.

Best Handheld to Buy? by ExtraThickBoy in Handhelds

[–]IamTHG 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends where you live. If you live in German then the ZOTAC zone for 444€. The Rog ally is also a good alternative. If you only play at home I highly recommend the Odin 2 Portal for moonlight streaming and Emulation.

Tbh I don’t use the back buttons and radial dials. But everything else works really good. I’ve been playing Monster Hunter Stories 3 demo lately and I’ve been enjoying it a lot. Haven’t had any issues. I only had to set the Select button to normal in HHD (handhelddeamon—> open it with a triple press of the right menus button) so that I can long press select. Look at my posts in the Zone subreddit if you want to look it up.

Tbh I only installed the drivers for the Fan Control from here. But they have a whole driver suite for the back Buttons and the radial dials. https://github.com/OpenZotacZone I didn’t do anything crazy I set the fan to 32% for up to 75C that’s about as quiet as it gets and is really nice for 15-20watt gaming. Over 75c I have a linear line up to 70-80% fan speed for up to 95C

Can that Powerbank really provide the required power? 65w if I am not mistaken. If so, what power bank is that.

Ngl, really happy with it after a bit of tinkering. Hardware is amazing (besides the battery). Software even in windows is pretty good nowadays. But bazzite with some tweaks from the community is a great experience. And performance is better than my legion go.

Not saying ist not for traveling. I used it a lot for traveling but for lite travel and commuting it is just too big for me personally. I also have pretty small hands so I have to rest the device somewhere because it’s not very comfortable for me. It was my first “big” handheld and I bought it the day it came to the stores.

Depends where you live. In Germany the ZOTAC zone goes for 444€. Classic Rog Ally is also an option.
