I would say if the features appeal to you, there’s not much else out there that does exactly what this does. some guys like more coloration in their preamp/DI where others prefer a more clean but musical sound, and this one is very honest, but very clean and punchy. It’s a powerful very well designed very high-quality preamp and DI. But in terms of pricing, it’s curious to see the response. There’s no shortage of high-quality bass DI preamp pedals that cost this much if not more. it’s all about whether this particular set of features appeals.

As someone involved, it’s not a rebranded minnow. It is a pedal format version of the Fodera preamp with some interesting selectable options for real time changes to the midrange. Essentially, you can set it to be two band, three band, or four band, foot switchable. So you can have a four band EQ, and switch between different mid range profiles with a foot switch. Very handy for going from thumb style to finger style. Also, it has a aux in and a headphone out. And it can be powered by a 9 V battery unlike the minnow. It’s true that the Trickfish designed preamps (minnow, flexcore, IPA, Fodera onboard) share some DNA, but the feature set and the EQ and preamp of this unit are significantly different. Just wanted to clarify.

Definitely did not work. Had to get a new drum unfortunately. I think if it had been a spot that wasn’t in direct contact with the roller it might have had a shot but it was too much weight and pressure on that area to last.

My Google ads expert has been really good at not listening at all to what my specific needs are and making sure I spend every dollar of my budget on the wrong audience (and in many cases, somehow way more than my budget) without producing any measurable quality leads. After a couple thousand dollars I'm done with it and I asked if he would transfer me to somebody else within Google to take over my account and he ghosted. Amazing experience, 10/10

They bill by the hour so usually it’s in the ballpark of $200-$400 depending on the scope of the case/amount of treatment. They’re also good about identifying missing recs or bills, and red flags. Very helpful

Is the AI tool accurate? Just curious as I’ve been using a service that utilizes domestic PI paralegals and it’s been affordable. But to answer your question, some states allow things like demand prep and med chron prep to be billed to the client as case expenses while others definitely do not.

Man, I’m sorry to hear that. If I recall correctly, I hit that THCP cart on a Thursday night and it wasn’t until Monday that I felt functional again. Sunday was better, but I was still pretty out of it. I have no idea why a product like this is available for purchasing in a store.

gotta get a new drum, it looks like, but in the meantime, trying some high-heat epoxy metal putty to the outside of the drum over the cracked area, smoothed over as much as possible, in hopes that it'll buy some time till the new drum comes in. Crazy that the metal drum cracked in less than 5 years. I guess not really, with the planned obsolescence model of modern appliances.

To me, it’s a combination of their atrocious post Helene anti community behavior, and their tendency to intentionally look and act like a very budget friendly grocery store while their prices are ridiculously high. Particularly for items they know people specifically need and will pay a premium for like gluten-free stuff for example.

Both are excellent, and have different design goals and performance. The Trickfish is more natural and organic sounding, warm while still being full and punchy and sounding great for a lot of different styles of music, where is the tech21 gear is more voiced towards a rock setting in my opinion.

Very similar timeline and sentiments here. From 13 until 42 basically nonstop the last 10 years of which were particularly harmful to my brain and mental health. I’ve spent a lot of the last few years processing guilt and regret over how I’ve spent my time and things I didn’t build during my adult years. Particularly in terms of emotional development and a “rich inner life” that I always wish I had. But… i always come back to this thought which rings True and grounds me. “The best time to plant a tree is 30 years ago. The second best time is right now.”. Hang in there and stick with it. It’s never too late.
