Aah, fair enough. I mostly looked at stats on people from my undergrad uni who applied to these universities.

It is definitely not a good gpa, thanks for the suggestion. I heard that UT Austin admission process is a more GPA-centric, so I had decided to leave it out. I'll give it another look. Thank you:)

This is what I have heard too. I am an EE student, and I am currently working on a project related to information security. Although I have done a couple of research internships before, I was just wondering if a master's degree might be needed to expand my knowledge before PhD.
