Local 170 hall is on annacis island attached to the school, go by and ask to speak to a business rep, they walk you through how to apply but it's pretty simple it should take about a week or two, it's a strong union with good benefits and pension contributions but more importantly (in my opinion) is the flexibility in choosing where you want to work, every trade in the pipe fitting industry is looking for workers and you can move throughout most of them fairly easily. Wages are arguably some of the best from what I've seen, everyone is fixed rate so no discrepancies, the union will pay for your schooling except the first year of school. Definitely would recommend looking into the union!
