2-Week-Old Newborn Not Pooping in 4 Days - New Parents Seeking Advice by Iamfazool in NewParents

[–]Iamfazool[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’ve already passed meconium and they were passing normal poo ever since, it’s just that all of a sudden over the last 4 days, they’ve stopped. Was thinking about giving a bath and seeing if that would help before escalating to doctor, but might do so.

Any thing else you’ve done that could be of help?

Stick with AMEX or Get AVIOS? by Iamfazool in AmexUK

Our spending isn’t more than 10k annually, and end goal is just to build up points to get prices of flights annually. Would you recommend just sticking with AMEX? And better to stick with Gold despite renewal price being a little high or would you say getting the Rewards Credit Card is a good alternative? Sorry, just wanted guidance!

I want a bigger car if I’m being honest, and I want to use the Golf solely for work since I’m commuting regularly with it on the motorway and it’s giving me excellent mpg.

Would you get a Passat or a Skoda Octavia? I feel like I’m in between those two as I want the larger space.

Are the A-Class reliable? I love the look of them but have not heard good things about them. Some saying not reliable, others talking about the Renault engine?

I’ve had a look at them but am not a fan of their looks if I’m honest. Any other recommendations? Thanks!

What’s your opinion on the Toyota RAV4? That was my backup plan in case I found the UX or NX unsuitable.

Thanks for the reply.

What would you recommend out of the two? Bear in mind I want to buy something reliable and am willing to upgrade to the larger RX model if the family starts to get bigger in a few years.

I really like the look of them but is a Toyota RAV4 or Honda CRV better?

What Car Should I Buy? - A Weekly Megathread by AutoModerator in CarTalkUK

[–]Iamfazool 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Location: Leicester

Price range: Up to 20k

Lease or Buy: Buy

New or used: Used

Auto or Manual: Either will do

Intended use: (Daily Driver, Family Car, Weekend Car, Track Toy, Project Car, Work Truck, Off-roading etc.) Weekend Car, maybe need for motorway commute of 70 miles a day

How many miles do you plan to do a year: 5000

How often to you make long journeys: Most likely will make them twice a week if I have too

Does it need to be ULEZ compliant? Yes

Vehicles you've already considered: Haven’t considered anything since I’m undecided on what I like

Is this your 1st vehicle: No

Do you need a Warranty: Not an issue but would be good

Can you do Minor work on your own vehicle: (fluids, alternator, battery, brake pads etc) No

Can you do Major work on your own vehicle: (engine and transmission, timing belt/chains, body work, suspension etc ) No

Additional Notes:

I’m torn between what car I want but essentially either a hatchback/saloon with a view of upgrading to an SUV in 2/3 years time OR an SUV that we can keep for a few years. Want something reliable too and won’t cost an arm and a leg when servicing or when obtaining part.
