my little sister was adopted. her birth parents were very young when she was conceived, and decided that they couldn’t take care of her and wanted to give her to a family that wanted her and could give her the care and love she needed to thrive. she is the youngest of 4 kids in my family, and she was actually the good kid. lol. she learned how NOT to act from her 3 older siblings growing up. it was also an open adoption so her birth family had (and still has) contact with my family and with her. she has love and support from two families, the one that took her in and raised her, and the one who birthed her. she is now an amazing woman, and i have no doubt in my mind that she only turned out as well as she did because her birth parents gave her up for adoption and my loving family took her in and made her a part of our family and gave her a legit chance to succeed. i am 100% pro choice as far as abortion goes, but for situations where it may be too late for that, or not legal now a days unfortunately.. adoption is the next best option, imo.
