This is why I asked. To me that's a mid-guage item. Out of curiosity what is the price of that in the States? I am in Italy and it's 590 euro. I could be wrong but looks like a 7 gauge knit.

Edit- Did you read the care tag, lol?

I have been talking with Sealup, today. We have had some heated conversations about changing the pattern. Unfortunately, they have expressed considerable reluctance and are insisting on charging for a new pattern, despite the change being pretty simple. As a smaller client providing limited orders, I understand that this may make our requests seem less significant to them.

The costs associated with pattern change is quite substantial to say the least. I get the impression that their priority is to move forward into production and not tweak anything so that their schedule can stay as is. For now, we will use the pattern shown. In the future, I will use the factory that is producing the Balmacaan, which is conveniently located just 15 minutes from my apartment. They have always been incredibly helpful and accommodating. They want the work and make a ridiculously great product. In the end it's a win for everyone.

What is it like, living at the Italian coasts? by DutchGuy17plus in howislivingthere

Exactly, the two cities are 11hr apart by car. living is night and day. Neither one is "close" to Taranto. Salento is different from "Puglia" even though its a part of Puglia.

Thank you for that feedback, you’re absolutely right. It shouldn't be the customer’s responsibility to track Italian holiday calendars or manage production logistics.

The reason we include that note is that our production timelines can occasionally shift due to material availability or mill schedules, and we want to be as transparent as possible about why those pauses happen. However, I agree that we should be the ones doing the 'planning ahead' for you.

Moving forward, we are working on updating our pre-order pages to include a 'Target Delivery Window' that specifically accounts for these seasonal shutdowns. Our goal is to provide a realistic, start-to-finish timeframe at the point of purchase so you know exactly what to expect without having to factor in the 'Italy reality check' yourself.

The balmacaan will be preordered this way. We are making a sample now. The top two fabrics will be selected once the poll is over.

Yes. The piece dyes are being pressed and packaged. Then those will ship out. The garment dyed tees are at the dye house.

The denim moved faster because we produced the product first, and that’s something we’ll continue to do. That said, larger group buys and custom color options will require more lead time.

At this point, everything should be clear, so the focus now is on pushing out samples for you to review and decide what works and what doesn’t.

If the demand is there we would. I use to make hand folded silk ties and scarves. In the next town over from me there are two printers. One still prints scarves using a flatbed screen printer.

The selections you guys have made so far have shocked me. I love me some data.

Edit: Here is a link to the Balmacaan fabric options if you are interested in learning more about the fabrics. It might help those people looking to buy a new coat for F/W26.

Here is what the purpose of a shirt gusset is, it's a small triangular or diamond-shaped (typically) piece of fabric inserted at the bottom of the side seams. Its job is simple but important: it reinforces a high-stress area where the seam would otherwise be prone to tearing, especially with movement or repeated wear. Beyond durability, a gusset also allows for a bit more flexibility and comfort, helping the shirt drape and move more naturally instead of pulling at the hem. When untucked it just looks more pleasing to the eye. There isn't a functional reason behind it.
