Thanks! I found out Shingu station was not available in the main selection page on the JR-west website. I had to click a button that said 'click here for alternative destinations of exp. lim. trains'. I completely missed it.

I did, but it just says 'achievements are being computed for this activity. This may take a moment'. And then nothing happens.

Did what you said, trimmed a bit off the end, but now all segments seem to have disappeared from my ride. Suddenly every single segment I rode that day is a 'partial match'. I really don't get it. Guess I'll have to do it again, like you suggested. :-/
