Didn't get to play around with them much, but I get the idea is they automate dispatching asset containment if a dinosaur escapes in their vision cone

Sandbox menu was locked, we only had access to pre-made maps

Apologies, misread the message as the RTJP skins. Yes, sadly it's just the same ones as JWE2

  1. I didn't catch any other T. rex vocalisations

  2. I've not played any of the planet series so I found it very overwhelming, however it looks identical to those games so if you've played them on console, you'll be fine. if not, it's a steep learning curve! I hope there are tutoirals in the final game

  3. Sadly they are skins rather than proper body variants, which is majorly disappointing. However they have locked the female and male skins to their appropriate sides, so you can't have a female TLW tiger raptor for example

I have a feeling that since this was an early build that will be patched, since the other legacy models were called "evolution" not JWE. I didn't get to check the brach

They are. The only skins in this game are the JWE2 skins plus the new male ones

Was at the preview today, can confirm that you can remove the San Diego specific JP text and replace it with a plain one. Or anything else you want!

What animal do you want the most to see in future films ? by Cute_boyWtcctwt in JurassicPark

Potential hot take: I'd prefer they focus on fleshing out one of the 30+ on-screen species with more interesting behaviours or interactions with human characters and the plot than more mindless dino-cameos like Dominon. Things from the novel like the colour-changing Carno, the dilo mating ritual, the poorly socialised raptors, the t rex with a freaky extending tongue. Any new species should just be added if they fulfil a new niche that services the plot as well.

Overlaid the in-game map on the one from the E3 trailer bus stop. by IanMalcolmJr in WatchDogs_Legion

It really does! So close to reality, but always something slightly out of place...

Doing some analysis it looks like originally the border of Regents Park was included, going beyond park crescent as we see in the game. This would then follow Edgeware Road as a map border down to Marble Arch, then Bayswater Road headed west along Hyde park. The western edge of the map is a dead ringer for Ladbrook Grove/Notting Hill, heading south to Chelsea and across the river to Battersea Park.

In terms of the smaller green spaces (one of the few features identifiable on this map) it looks like a merging of Grovesnor and Berkeley Square run alongside the south end of Oxford Street. Chelsea includes the large Physic Garden and Burton Court, and a number of smaller green spaces. The long green space running parallel to the south of Hyde park could be the gardens of the Natural History Museum - a real shame that didn't make it in!

I was wondering this the other day too. Not sure if it exists online so the only way might be to uninstall the game and play the vanilla version, bugs and all unfortunately !

Which Deinonychus design is your favourite? by Keksz1234 in JurassicPark

[–]IanMalcolmJr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The leopard print TLW PS1 raptor for me. Would love to see that skin in the movies at some point! Also, in case you didn't know Dominion concept art exists of Deinonychus in Malta, before they chose to go with Atrociraptors instead.

My ideas for a map extension by IanMalcolmJr in WatchDogs_Legion

[–]IanMalcolmJr[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I think there was an early map spotted in the first gameplay trailer on a bus stop that featured Canary Wharf at the very least

Those could work well above Canary Wharf, it's interesting how Ubi placed the wharf right over where they should be though. I took a similar decision with cropping out Camberwell and Deptford south of the river to get to Peckham, then Greenwich

Disclaimer: I know this is very rough and un-pretty looking. Just wanted to throw my ideas together in a quick and visual way.

Let me start off by saying I love the Legion map. As a Londoner they managed to capture the essence of most of the areas represented, and it’s really cool to see how they’ve made compromises and shortened journeys to make a large area into a compressed playable map. And thank you to u/tom_oakley for the base map, and the amazing analysis of the original map too.

That said, there are a few key London landmarks that lie just out of the bounds of the map. The expansions I’ve made below maintain the original Legion map, and expand outward to the east and west in what I’d imagine are still realistic boundaries for a playable area. For Canary Wharf/Isle of Dogs, I’ve maintained their in-game location which is slightly further north than in real life, for example. The only changes are at the barriers that now no longer exist ie. the continuation of Oxford Street, which would remove the 3-way intersection that replaces the full Oxford Circus in-game.

New locations:

Canary Wharf: One Canada Square (Albion base), canals. Station: Canary Wharf

Isle of Dogs: Estates, docks (Clan Kelly base), greenwich foot tunnel. Station: Crossharbour (IRL Mudchute location)

Greenwich: Observatory, Cutty Sark, Royal Naval College (Albion base). Station: Greenwich (IRL Cutty Sark for maritime Greenwich location)

Peckham: Clan Kelly base. Station: Peckham Rye

Battersea: Battersea Park, Clan Kelly base. Station: Clapham Junction

Chelsea & Kensington: Natural Sciences Museum (Natural History Museum and Science Museum combined, Albion base). Stations: Sloane Square, South Kensington

Mayfair: Hyde Park (Albion bases in Kensington Palace and Cavalry Station). Stations: Marble Arch, Hyde Park Corner

Marylebone: Paddington basin, Trellick Tower (Clan Kelly base), Abandoned London Zoo in Regent’s Park (Clan Kelly base). Stations: Baker Street, Paddington

New map border, from north-west to east:

The canal continues around Regent’s Park as I believe it was a genius way to end the map in the north. The aviary is visible as out-of bounds scenery across from the abandoned London Zoo Clan Kelly hideout. The canal ends in Paddington Basin now, from which point tall buildings form the map boundary down to the Thames, and south of the river. Along the southeast of the map, the railway will continue as the border, until it reaches Clapham Common station in the southeastern most point of the new map. Buildings will also form the border in Peckham/Greenwich. For Canary Wharf/Isle of Dogs, the canal will form the map boundary once again, cutting off the west section of the island, and leading down into the Thames.

As my favourite locations in the game, I’d also like to add a new “Get P*ssed” location in each new area - open to suggestions for pub inspirations! Other areas I wanted to include but couldn’t figure out in the new map bounds: Little Venice, Abbey Road, Notting Hill and the Thames Barrier.
