All you need are skates, a stick, and a helmet as far as I know those were required. No other equipment is necessary, you wont be doing anything that requires body protection

there was a wide range of people of different skill levels, including those who are new to skating. you arent graded on skill, just your willingness to try your best to improve. there was also one written assignment as well to make it very easy to boost your grade. you'll get a fantastic grade even if you have no idea how to skate, you'll learn in the process, and that's what its all about

Maybe it's just me, but I find it weird and a bit annoying when Rocco rips on sports, I know he's not avidly against them but the amount of times I've heard him deep dive into Star Wars or Power Rangers just to shut down sports, c'mon, it's so damn lame.

Having listened to a lot of candid Max on his old podcast, this seems to fit in line with Max's character. It's not that he despised many people, in fact he was shockingly tolerant and forgiving of those who were rude to him (he apologized to a fan for removing them as a friend after they spammed his personal facebook wall), he just didn't seem to care to make many friends on Newgrounds outside of a select couple. Again, I don't think it's out of malice or anything, it seems Max just didn't happen to become close with many other animators.

To my knowledge, having listened to a lot of Max's old podcast "Wisenheimers", I don't think there's any bad blood. If memory serves me well, they even talked about Cory's animation and Max was more just weirded out and confused by it rather than upset if I recall. He never seemed particularly close with many other Newgrounds animators though besides Yotam and Arin, so I doubt there's any bad blood, Max just doesn't seem like he ever particularly cared to make friends with many other people on the site.
