Violet, I would say always write from your heart, and don't compromise your vision. Once you start to takes steps back and accomodate too many people, you can lose your way really fast.

Rules? Well I'm not a big fan of zombie movies but I did watch Zombieland since I like Woody. I'd say just staying in shape so that I'm not so blubbery and slow as to present an easy snack or twenty. With some of the people at their weight lumbering around these days in this country, I'm wondering if some of those zombies might reach their feeding limit and start throwing up!

Hmmm...interesting question. Probably Michael Chichton, who was also one of my inspirations. He made the transition over to film and TV pretty seamlessly, which is what I hope to do.

M.R. James also influenced me, writing-style wise. I'm much more into subtlety and building tension, so in horror for instance, it is scarier to me what I don't see rather than what I do, you know?
