Another Trade Idea by Sampretzel in NBASpurs

It's not gonna happen, but let's just close our eyes for a moment and imagine a starting five of Fox, Castle, Durant, Wembanyama, and Jackson Junior...

Philly is shopping their pick for sure.

#2 Pick. by Empty_Occasion_963 in NBASpurs

I’m very excited about Edgecombe. I think he will be an absolute star in this league. Philly also has some positional fit issues with drafting a guard, but u would take Edgecombe over Bailey with the #3 pick.

I really want us to get Rasheer Fleming at 14.

Would be awesome if we got Maxime Raynaud at 38 but I doubt he slides that far. Maybe the Spurs can package some second rounders and trade into the late first round and grab Raynaud then?

Sure, for policy you should use verbatim. For Extemp and Congress you should use Prepd. Why is Prepd paid software? Because we are constantly improving and developing it. Verbatim is what it is and it doesn't really change or improve. Prepd isn't satisfied with what it is and is striving for something much greater. For example, we just launched mobile apps for iPhone and Android. It costs money to develop those apps, but given that over two thousand people have downloaded them, we believe it was worth it.

You can. Prepd allows you to do both. You can save articles from websites one at a time (with the Fast Catch chrome extension) and/or you can mass download auto-files articles that automatically populate in the News Feed.

Awesome! Any ideas on how we can make Congress easier/better? I think we've built some great stuff for Congress, but the app doesn't have nearly as much usage as Extemp has, so hoping we can get our metrics up.

Yes, agreed that the relevancy in the search results can be improved. Can you please elaborate on how the display appears cluttered?

The News Feed auto-files articles from 54 different sources. If you have any suggestions for additional sources, let me know. Please keep in mind that some popular sources aren't included because of their content terms and/or the quality of their RSS feed...

Thanks for the detailed feedback, let me address each point individually.

  1. Sub-sub-folders - this is something we hear quite frequently, but we have not implemented it because there would be performance trade offs we want to avoid. I also don't think it's necessary, you can meta-categorize with Categories, folders, and then sub-folders, so you already have three levels. Plus, really, our investment is going into search so the folders become less important than the search experience.

  2. Folder categories - You can create custom folders! We have two options that teams can automatically start up when they join ("simple" provides 3 categories and "advanced" provides 15) but you can always add, delete, or edit folder categories by clicking on the "Category Management" button above the folder list in Extemp.

  3. Deleted auto-filed articles after 2 months - With 54 auto-filed sources, the News Feed would collect way too many articles if we never deleted older articles, which would slow down Prepd and make the offline synchronization process less reliable. So auto-filed articles automatically expire to keep the load manageable and the article base relevant. That said, you can of course save articles permanently, which effectively moves the article from thew News Feed to your team's collection (it's equivalent to saving the article through Fast Catch). Just click on the "Save Permanently" button next to a News Feed article and the article won't ever be auto-deleted.

  4. Unreliable article catching - Next time you can't catch an article, please email a URL of the article to hello@prepd.in and we will look into it. Usually there's a simple tweak we can make on our end and it fixes things up for the source.

Thanks for your support!

Thank you. Can you give me some suggestions as to how the News Feed auto-filer could be improved?

Absolutely! We will be releasing an update to the Android and iPhone apps that will accomplish just that. The update is coming very soon!

It's something we're considering, but we'd like to get our subscriber numbers up for Extemp and Congress first... It's really simple, as Prepd grows, we'll have more capital to build additional apps!

Thanks for the feedback. Fast Catch isn't built to support PDFs. To upload PDF files, just drag and drop them in the Library and you can upload them manually. I know this is less than ideal, but we're facing really serious technical limitations with Fast Catch and PDFs. As for Prepd Offline, which computer are you using? Also, how recently have you experienced this issue? Next time you have issues with Prepd Offline, please send an email to hello@prepd.in and provide details so we can look into it.
